Crystals and Gems

I have just spent the better part of the night trying to find a website that has a listing of the magical qualities of different crystals and gems. But all I could find was commercial sites :(.
Does anyone know of any good websites on this topic? In particular, does anyone know of the magical qualities and significance of Sunstone?

If I recall correctly, Sunstone has a few other associations too. Astrologically, it's associated with fire signs, strongest with Leo, but don't quote me on that one. ;) It is associated with the sun (gee... where did it get it's name again??? lol). it is helpful in healing, especially in correcting the energies associated with fire and with the mind. I remember hearing that it is associated with the crown chackra (sp?) and with higher intellect.

I have read that it is associated with the God aspect of the universe and specifically with solar dieites, such as Apollo or Bel. Umm... I'm going to need to hunt through my books to find more. But if you use it correctly, I recall that it can help with mild feelings of disappointment or provide inspiration. I believe it's associated with the elements of fire and air, resonating a bit more strongly with air.

I'm really going to need to organize all of my reaserch on using gems magically. I have this stuff all over the place here, I don't know what I'm going to do if I *need* it.

Thanx :). I was thinking of using it on a wand I'm making....sounds like it would be a pretty good choice.

When making your wand, I've found that a marking/stone/other wise appropriate thing at either end of the wand pointing away from the center of the wand inline with the wand itself to help direct the flow of the energy.:)
