I have these black out spells where my vision gets flooded with color, and I get very dizzy, and sometimes I briefly loose consciousness. Does anyone know what could cause this? I am anemic, and have low blood pressure. I eat regularly and well... Please help...

It sounds like that may be cause by the blood problems but I'm not a doctor. Have you gone to see your physician yet? If not I would highly recommend going in for some tests. Besides low blood pressure and anemia it could also be caused by several other conditions... some of them can be quite serious. Please see your doctor or someone who is qualified in alternative health to find out for sure. You don't want to wait especially if these symptoms are getting worse.

Actually, the low blood pressure and being anemic is hereditary, every woman in my family has it. As far as I know, there is nothing wrong, and this happens every once in a while... I just got scared because I got very nauseous this morning, and had a lot of pain in my head. I can still feel it in my body. Thank you for the advice and I will be contacting my doctor soon...

actually, the only advice I am qualified to give is see your dr and have tests done. It could be BP, but it also could having something to with something pressing on the visual portion of the brain
Please see a doctor

Sounds like migrains! My duaghter scared the ^%$* out of me 2 summers ago. We were in the bathroom in the morning and she said she couldn't see! So it turns out that they are migrain symptoms without the full out pain. Its not a big deal. Nausea is also a sign of migrains. I would definitely see a doctor about them! It turns out my daughters are genetic (husband's side) but the first things they checked for was menengitis and brain tumers! Go to the doctor.

the visual symptoms do sound like migrane precoursers as does the nausea and dizziness, (i'm rather more familiar with that list than i want to be, migranes are thought to be a "female problem" but us hairy uncouth types get them too) i'd concur with the majority opinion. see your doctor asap. take care of yourself little sister, we all love you. mithras guard you and keep you safe.

Kaylara the low blood pressure and anemia are indeed the source of the problem. Your other family members may not react the same way it's differant for everyone. I had an ex that had an acute version, best advice see a healer or doctor for advice.

I hope you took everyone's advice and saw a doctor pronto--it could be an ear infection (yes you can get them and not be aware of it) a reaction to your medicines, a result from low blood pressure, and a lack of a vitamin or mineral you need your doctor needs to see you to determine which type of tests to administer to help correct the problem. Yes it could be migraines--they often do attack those with anemia and blood pressure problems.
And it could just be stress. But get seen hon!!

I used to have similar experience when I was youger and I was rushed in for emergency catscans each time. They anticipated finding a brain tumor and even preped me for the worst but fortunately it was severe migraines and restircted blood vessels in the head. I would see a doctor immediately, it is probably something they can fix. Goddess forbid it should happen to you while driving!
