Your pagan name

ok....I need to know how to go about choosing a name. Is it ok to choose your own or need it be given to you? Where would I go to find a name, or find someone to give me a name?

This is the first of many questions, I'm sure!!

Well, mine came from a dream that I had. And there's no shame in starting out with something that suits you, then changing it later when something appears that seems more appropriate.

According to my dream, my name is temporary - it represents the current state in my life. In a few years, I may have something different - or for all I know, a few days. . .

If your a solitary it would be hard for someone to give your name. But you can probably find your name through meditation or dreams.

If you feel that you want or need one, you could always choose one for yourself. If/When you are "given" one, then use the one you are given.

As others have said, there are a few threads (some are rather long threads) on this in the New Pagan area. You shouldn't have any trouble finding them. This is kind of a frequently asked question.
