View Full Version : I don't know what is wrong....

For some reason I go through times when I hardly sleep at all (I'm lucky if I get 2 hours of sleep a night)...
and then sometimes I go through times when it's like I can't sleep enough. For example,
one night I will go to bed at like 9:00 and sleep until around noon the next day, get up for a couple hours,
lay back down around 2 or 2:30 and sleep until like 7:30, get up... and stay up until 9:00.
The last few nights have been "not sleeping" night (well this whole last week really)
I didn't sleep at all last night (maybe 45 minutes)... got up at 7:45 this morning, stayed up til 9:15,
laid back down and didn't wake up until almost 4:00 this afternoon....
it's 5:07 now I am so exhausted I can hardly hold my eyes open to type this... all I wanna do is lay down and sleep.

Honey it seems like you are having several health problems. I think you should make an appointment sooner than May to be seen. If it was just one would be one thing but it seems like there are several that could be serious on their own.

Ever been checked for PCOS? Might be worth looking and seeing if you are having any symptoms that match up with it...

Update: I laid down at 5:09... and got up at 7:22.

Is it possible your sleep schedule is just totally out of wack? I know if I start napping during the day it totally screws me up to the point where I HAVE to nap or I feel like Im falling over.

I'm having sleep difficulties at the moment myself, which are compounded by a certain medication I take.
I recently got checked for a Thyroid problem, I'd recommend you do the same (just a quick blood test that they can do while checking you for other sleep related troubles as well).

:hugz: I totally empathize with you. I have a simular sleep pattern(and yes, I have PCOS and possibly hypo-thyroidism that the first blood test didn't catch). I also deal with mild bi-polar disorder. I've had the weird sleeping patterns off and on since 1984(when I went through a tornado at 10 years old). I've learned that my body will demand it's rest, even if its not convienent for me.
