Rubi, or anyone, info on fibro sarcoma? That is what my dog has.....

My vet just called with Harley's biopsy results. She had a tumor removed last week. She said it is a fibro sarcoma, a form of cancer. She also said it is locally invasive, that it doesn't tend to spread to the organs. But that the tumors can return and we have to do monthly checks on her leg for more tumors.

I am going to do a search on it but also was hoping you might have any info and/or experience in it. I am a bit shaken by the news.

I know better than to read medical stuff online for my kids. I should have known better than to do a search for my dog. It really sank in that Harley has *cancer.* :( I have read everything from radical surgeries, chemo, radiation, amputation.... I guess I just have to wait until next Thurs. when I take her for her stitches to come out. I'll talk more to the vet about prognosis then.

I really hope that someone has a positive story to share. Or at least some energy for her.

Chryssi, Don't worry so much, just take each check as they come. Thats the thing about these types of tumors. The Vet has to tell you that it's possible for them to come back, but in most cases they don't. I won't say it can't happen but Harley has a lot of us here wishing the best so.....well you've seen what our energy can do!!! :)
