Boy, 12, kills man who attacked his mom

The boy said he had been playing a video game Monday night when he heard his mother, Cheryl Stamp, scream. He found her on the kitchen floor, straddled by a fellow resident who was choking her.

"I kept saying, 'Stop! Stop! Stop!'" the boy told The Washington Post, which published his account without giving his name. "But he just ignored me. He didn't stop. He just kept hurting her."

The boy said he took a knife and swung at the man. Police say they found Noubissie with a knife wound to the upper body.

The boy is a hero. He better not be charged with anything. He saved his mother's life!

As for the scumbag who attacked her, he deserved what he got and is probably roasting in hell right now. :woot:

He killed someone. If he's going to be charged with anything, it's not premeditated anyway.

No it will be taken down as emotional distress and protecting his family, which he has a right to do. Also he's only 12..any jury he's up against will let him off easy or with no charge.

He didn't murder anyone. He justifiably killed someone, though.

Yeah, he is brave and lucky. There is so many different ways this could have ended, but the way it ended was pretty much the best way it could have ended. If the boy missed and didn't inflict a serious wound it is very likely that the man would have gotten the knife from him and then both he and his mom would have ended up dead.

As it was, the article says that the man was fighting with police even though he was mortally wounded. Imagine how dangerous he would be if he WASN'T mortally wounded!

That poor kid. I mean, good for him for doing the right thing and protecting his mother, and he definitely shouldn't be charged with a crime, but I hope they get his some therapy. Can you imagine being a 12 year old and being forced into that situation? I also think that the community there needs to be very supportive of him, because he made a hard decision, but no less than most of us would have tried to do in a similar situation.

Dude, that kid has some balls. I dont really think he meant to kill the guy, he just wanted him to stop choking his mom. I think he did the right thing in defending her
