Lord of the Spoofs is the parody of all parodies. In fact, there are so many sub-parodies that you won't be able to keep up. This ain't no friggin' Bored of the Rings, but a happy food-filled romp through Middle Girth, with special cameo guest appearances by all of your favorite stars from myth and legend.

I will try to get to it asap :)
Also I am going to get this moved to the Stories and Novellas (http://mysticwicks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=68) forum since that is where this type of thing goes ok?

Isn't there another novel like this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bored_of_the_Rings ah yes.

That's the one. XD

I'll take a look at it though! Sounds like fun and I'm a sucker for parodys!

Amilee, that book was the original inspiration for my parody. I loved the basic concept behind Bored of the Rings; however, the book had what I thought to be some very major flaws. There were many parts of it that seemed to endlessly drag on, and oftentimes a gag that was good for a quick laugh was stretched out for many pages.

Also, the book was written sometime in the sixties, if I am not mistaken, and does not contain any of the D&D and RPG elements that I have interwoven into my version.

Also, I have incorporated a far greater number of ancient myths and legends into the overall framework as well, so as to keep everything fresh and have the story line moving along at a brisk pace.

Anyway, give it a quick once over and let me know what you think...

Thanks in advance,

That's cool, because that's what I'm looking for. I'd like to get most of the bugs worked out before I shop it around. So far, I've had pretty good feedback. Just remember that its only a comedy, and its supposed to be funny, that's all...:spinnysmi
