I don't believe so, I believe the fox is more commonly associated with Earth forces. You might want to look up some Native North American symbolism and mythologies *shrugs*.

I did find this, but it is the only mention I found that associated the Fox with water:
"In Japan it is a "Spirit of Rain" and an attribute of the rice deity Indari."

Hope that helps. Try looking up "animal symbolism, fox" or "animal symols, fox" at google.com.

For some reason, I have always felt the fox represented fire...perhaps it's their red color.

If it means something to you, I don't think it matters what element someone else corresponds it to, no one else can tell you what something means to you personally...just do what YOU feel is right :)

They represent air to me because they are thought of as clever, cunning, and fast.

Three responses three different representations :). Wicce is right, if it means something special to you, then that's all that matters.

I agree, what is most significant to you is what is most important.

On a personal note. . . my boyfriend associates me with a Fox sometimes, and I'm VERY much water. . . (actually more like if you mixed water and air and made a new element hehe)

So here's annother bid that foxes are associated with water!

Although honestly, I could find relations to any of the elements, for a fox.
