Okay the following booklist, and list of websites is NOT required reading for the class. They are however presented as a way for you to further educate yourself. I will start the class Monday. This should give everyone enough time to enroll, and get ready. We will be covering what Anglo-Saxon Heathenry is, its history, and the problems of reconstruction. Discussion is strongly encouraged as are questions!

The Reading List (note these are all academic books)

Anglo-Saxon Paganism by David Wilson

Rites and Religions of the Anglo-Saxons by Gwen Owen

Thanks for the recommendations! One of the books is available at my library so I'll be getting it out tomorrow, and in searching for it I came across a few others that look interesting as well :)

Anyone interested in either Sagas,Prose or Historical Texts should check this site out

http://www.northvegr.org/lore/main.php

There dosent appear to be many sites out there which deal with the Heathen age of Anglo-Saxon History in a credible way
This isnt a bad introduction into the History of Mercia

http://www.btinternet.com/~simonmarchini/History/mercian_history.htm#home

Though Ive seen an excellent article on the beginnings of Mercia written by Swain
