So, a few people have expressed an interest in a Tameran Wicca COT class.

What I want to know is: Are you interested?

And if you are interested: What exactly would you like to know about Tameran Wicca?

I am trying to come up with a course outline and lesson plan, but I would like to see what aspects people want more information about so I can plan the lessons to suit.

Please post your thoughts in this thread, I would appreciate it if you answer both questions bolded above.

Sounds interesting - but what makes it different from main-stream Wicca?

Tameran Wicca is based on a general Wiccan structure, Wheel of the Year, etc, but heavily influenced by Kemetic/Egyptian beliefs. One difference I can think of off the top of my head would be that instead of invoking the Watchtowers or Guardian Elementals in circle casting, the Tameran way would involve the Four Sons of Horus as guardians of the four directions. Also worship would be focused only on the Netjeru (Gods and Goddeses of Ancient Egypt) and rituals or spells would rarely involve any deity that was not known in Pharaonic times.

I've always wondered (and never been able to find a simple answer) about the difference between Kemetic and Tameran. Also ideas about ways to give thanks and work with the Netjeru. I'd quite like to know how you'd celebrate the sabbats... :)

yay! count me in, i'm trying to write a book on the subject right now, so i might gain something from this class if it goes ahead. hmmmm... as to what i'd like to learn... right now i'm looking into the more shamanic aspects of the pyramid txts, the book of going forth by day, etc... i'm reading a book by jeremy naydler that proposes that these texts weren't only funerary, that they detailed shamanic journeys taken while the pharoah was alive. even if this were not true, which it certainly could be, it could be used for that purpose today in the tameran wiccan framework.

*goes off to check out sekhmet's pride* i love sekhmet!

I'm interested!
I would like to learn...well everything, I know that's not very helpful so, how you would incorporate the Sabbats, different rituals and spell workings, maybe some daily devotions one could do. Hope this helped!

I have never heard of this form of Wicca before and would simply like to learn more about it in all aspects. What makes this form different from other Wiccan tradtions and so on.

I've also never heard of that trad before. If the class runs, I'll probably pop in just to see exactly what the deal is. :P

Where do I sign up? I lean slightly more toward Kemeticism but I'd love to know how to incorporate Netjer into Sabbats more. I may not class myself as Wiccan anymore but I do love Samhain! :)

I am happy to see all the interest. I have submitted an outline to SFS and once it is approved by GEBS and all, I hope to get this class started soon. Keep on the lookout for updates and a sign up thread. I would like to aim for starting the class on 5th May.

I would be interesting in learning non Kemetic Orthodox ways of honoring the Netjeru, but I am not really interested in a Wiccan path (as a whole, aspects I don't really mind). I'm not one to call quarters or cast circles or like that. Would that still be okay?

I'm thinking sort of along the same lines as Agahila. I'm still tempted to join the KO but I'd like to see alternatives before I make a decision. I love certain aspects of wicca (the sabbats) but I hate getting bogged down with circles and the like.
