I can thankfully dreamshift or at least when I'm halfway conscious, on the occasions that it happens it's the most incredible thing ever! but when it comes to consciously shapeshifting I'm still a sad and sorry sight. I attempted it again and something did happen so that's something.what happened was I was trying to shapeshift with Boar and my body started moving like he would (presumably) and was rather difficult for me to stop moving when I got tired. But other then that I didn't see myself as boar, I simply moved like him. My boyfriend told me that something had gone wrong, and that's not how one is supposed to shapeshift.

soooo where did I go wrong this time? and should I believe that shapeshifting isn't something I can do and give up any attempts? after all not everyone can do everything? maybe this is the case for me?

im going to assume that your doing this through meditation, you didnt fail at your attempt however you didnt exactly do it correctly either.

from my experiences its much more difficult to shapeshift by simply visualizing yourself taking the animals form, instead put yourself in the animals environment and "hunt" it, once found chase that animal and learn its tricks this is a gradual process.

when this is done correctly and you "catch" the animal you'll have a sense of being a floating orb, your not the animal and your not the environment but instead you become what the two reflect, this imo is shapeshifting.

I know nothing about shapeshifting but I do know that is one of the practices Tezcatlipoca's shamans did.

if you dont understand my statment it might be best for you not to attempt the practice till you do, shapeshifting is alot like conjuring and its pretty common place for those that participate in it to take upon the negative characteristics of the animals they're attempting to shapeshift into if they dont know what they're doing.

Aluokaloo :

Firstly...you are correct , in your thought shapeshifting is not :

Easy for everybody...for few , in fact...

Now...what Mtpathy , was perhaps trying to convey , in Mtpathy's
most unique and obscure way...has some validity , in my practice...

Let me put it my way...study the animal...learn everything you
can , about it...see it in the wild , if you can...intimacy...

I also use the movements , and sounds of the animal...you are
attempting to access the group egregore of the animal...

( do look that up )

This is a deep level of subconscious magick , and animal soul ,
ativistic process , connected with the back of the brain...

Cerebellum , pons , medulla oblongata...which connect , in
the mgieckal tradition I practice...to underworld , and realm
of the ancestors...which does have it's darkside , and astral
denizens attracted to that energy field...

Call it primal territory...have you ever seen the film...

"Altered States" ?

I want to just confirm before I reply - you were trying to spiritually or astrally shape-shift, not physically shape-shift. Yes?
