my brother's body finally passed on

I got the call yesterday around 7am. He had been brain dead for around 14 years and his body finally made a break with the tubes keeping it alive and clean. I know he is not suffering in any manner.

Mike was an alcoholic and a heroin addict, that is what finally lead to the massive heart attack in 1993 that lead to his brain death.

I'm doing OK, it hurts but I'm OK because I know he is OK and since he already sent me a sign (I got poked with a one inch needle of all things that was lodged into my telephone). I didn't even know I owned a needle that size :weirdsmil. I'm not surprised it showed up though, I just wish he would have picked something other than my phone!

I "lost" my husband twice... once when we were divorced and again one year later when he died of a heart attack. It hurt just as much both times.
