ok folks this is a serious subject. now maybe you don`t have it, but someone you know might. So if anyone has used stones fro this problem let me know. Some stones known to help with it are Lithiophilite, nordenskioldine, blue obsidian, and elestrial quartz. The last two are more common. Also bear in that a lot of blue obsidian on the market is actually blue man-made glass and NOT volcanic glass.

I've come across a few in my search for stones that help with bipolar disorder. I'll do some more research and get back to you. :)

I cannot recall if I have ever used stones or crystals with my mom but I sure would appreciate any information that could be provided.

Lepidolite is one that's suppose to help with this.

Sugilite and tiger eye are also helpful. I have some psychotic tendencies that accompany the bipolar disorder, mostly hallucinations, and I find that any stone that helps ground you is beneficial. I use hematite and black tourmaline. Hope that helps!

This is what I want to hear! first hand info. Although I am sorry to hear you have some psychotic tendencies, hallucinations and the bipolar disorder.

that's good to hear. does the lepidolite deal with a specific schizophrenia or you don`t know. The stones I posted I don`t know which forms they treat.

I had a lot of luck stabilizing my mood with tigers eye and hematite as well!
And rose quartz when used for short periods of time and in moderation.
(helps you to accept and love yourself despite your troubles).

No problem! I'm very open about it, especially if I can help someone else. I find that lepidolite is more for depression. If you're looking for help with symptoms I would try the ones I recommended. Anything that grounds you and brings you back into reality will help. In fact, I've found that most any stone that is black will ground you but tourmaline is my favorite. I'm also on a nice cocktail of meds, lol! If I can be of any other help just let me know. I'm always open to talking about my mental illness!
