View Full Version : Positive Energies and Prayers needed!

We have just heard that my mother-in-law has what her doctors believe to be liver cancer, and terminal at that. They are running more tests tomorrow, but in the meantime, I would appreciate it if you would direct any positive energy you can spare and your prayers.

This is a very dear woman ~ she is amazing and I am so blessed to have her as my second mother. My own mother died a few years ago from cancer and it hurts my heart to see what my husband and his family are going through.

Thank you all ~ I am at work but my mind is with her at the hospital this morning.

She is a woman of great faith (Christian) and that and her love for her family will see her through whatever happens.

Again, thank you for your kind words and energy. It is much appreciated.

I just wanted to post and let all who sent their prayers, energy and kind thoughts know that we have received some amazing news!

My mother-in-law received the results of her biopsy today and she does not have cancer ~ she has cirrhosis of the liver. A serious disease in and of itself, but it's treatable and the doctors think she will be fine. We are all so relieved, but I can't help being angry at the original doctor who basically told her her life was at an end. Then again, I am just thankful it's not cancer!

And in a strange coincidence, my second mother was given this news on what was my own mother's birthday.

That is so good to hear, MO. I'm sorry to hear about the cirrhosis, but with care, she can live a good life.
And as far as the doctor, it's hard to accept the fact that they base a lot of their diagnosis's on flat-out educated guesswork.
But knowing that doesn't help when your heart has been ripped in two...
