Ok, I am about to install the latest and greatest (relative term) of vbulletin. There are quite a few new features that I think will flow well in this community.

Anyway, in about 15 - 30 minutes I will be shutting the board down and upgrading the database, etc. This could take 5 minutes...or it could take 30 minutes. Either way, it will only take as long as it takes. =]

What I would truly appreciate , so my eyes have an easier time...

And yes , I have adjusted brightness everyone , best I can...

It is when I am replying to a post like this...

It is white in the reply box...fine

A light grey blue around that...okay...

But around that is the main area...about 50% screen ...

Very bright light white blue...that is what kills my eyes...

So posting for me...and as far as my class...is painful...

Can we possibly darken the area , around the reply box ?

The only other thing I see different is that the wide version is gone. It still says we can pick it, but it isn't wide.

In the little box that had "Welcome..., etc." there is a "your notifications". Also the box is also greyish as well. The smilies are also on the side now (previously, for me, they were at the bottom of the reply box).

No notifications for me, which before would result in 0 new such and such, but it may not alert you to even that now. The width of the format didn't change either.

The smilies are no longer covered by a gigantic ad to the right when replying to a message, however, so huzzahs!

For some reason, the wide screen format doesn't seem to work now, which is mildly a pity, because i quite liked the new layout, but I don't like it in narrow format.

I see the raspberries have gone, then. They've been replaced in the old style by the VBulletin logo. :(

They're at the bottom of the threads right above the Quick Reply. To add tags you click on the "edit" thing there and type the info in, then save it.

They help categorize threads for easy finding.
I did all the Deity of the Week threads earlier.

They all have "Deity of the Week" in the tag as well as "God" or "Goddess" and their pantheon(s).

Look at this one:

You can see: celtic pantheon (http://mysticwicks.com/tags.php?tag=celtic+pantheon) , deity of the week (http://mysticwicks.com/tags.php?tag=deity+of+the+week) , god (http://mysticwicks.com/tags.php?tag=god) , irish pantheon (http://mysticwicks.com/tags.php?tag=irish+pantheon)
If you click on those they'll show threads with similar tags.
If you click of "God" only the gods will show up.
If you click on "Irish pantheon" only 7 of the DOTW threads show up:

It's a quicker way of finding things is all.

Eventually more threads in G&Gs and else where will be tagged so more related threads will show up.

I hope they do. I will. It's a lot easier to find things, I think. The normal search turns up anything with that word/phrase, whereas the tags are more specific (because the tag as to be added to the thread). Though that's if you tag things seriously like I'm doing (not with random things) that apply to the thread and will make it easier to find. :2G:

YES! I don't know what to call these colors (beige on ecru?), but they are much better than the blinding white. Although the yellow bars at the top of the posts is still a little too bright for me. Once I can change the font size (I read that will be brought back again) I'll be right as rain.
