Today I went to a pub I've never visited before. It's one of the oldest in the city. The building dates back to the 1400s, and there are stories of several hauntings in the pub.

I have never seen a ghost. But I felt pretty weird in the pub. It was packed and there was music playing, but I still had an eerie feeling the whole time. I kept looking over at the staircase because I just had the feeling that there was 'something there'.

I just wanted to share I suppose. I've never felt that way before.

Some photos from the pub's website:

Apart from the creepiness, it's a really beautiful old building, and I intend to go back and take my camera sometime soon. Wonder if the camera will pick up anything weird?

I love that 'creepy' vibe old places put off.
Would love to see your photos, even if there's nothing paranormal about it!

Apparently I'm not as interesting to those that haunt places anymore, I rarely encounter them these days.

WM, have you seen ghosts in the past? Is there any particular way to, um, communicate with a ghost or spirit?

Wow I love old buildings, and I dig that creepy feeling... but it can often come from bad electrical work.

However the second pic.. is a bit freaky in the upper left hand corner. It is on both pics so it could be a messy lens?

I had a type of haunting in the place I live now.. It came out full force when my son was a baby. New energy??

I freaked because I did not understand hauntings at the time and I banished it.. I still have some guilt over that.. it wasn't hurting anyone.. but it was around my son the most and that scared me

Glowy: I've had some unusual energies in my house as well. I had a lot of paranormal things happening around me when I was pregnant with my son, who is 3 yrs. now. Some of the para. things that happened were very uncomfortable. I had a nack (not sure if I still do) for drawing the bad paranormal as well as the good. It was very weird. It didn't scare me due to the fact that I've loved and studied paranormal/hauntings for as long as I can remember. It was just very unusual to me since on a normal basis I didn't really attract half as much before pregnancy until I did get pregnant. Then....holy crap!!....

Wow- those pictures! I can feel them from here. I don't normally get that from pictures at all. Awesome! I don't sense any real evil, just people living in *their time*. Neat place I'd love to visit!! Most I encounter around here are agressive. Those pics seem like a more I'm just living in my place vibes. I wanna go~

Yes I have...
often as a child and young teen.

But I rarely see them now, perhaps it's because I don't frequent their haunts as much.

I always just talked... their answer might not be audible though, you'll just 'know'
There's always spirit boards too, or pendulum divination, meditation... lots of ways.

The pub's website is here:

Unfortunately the website isn't very nicely done and the pictures aren't very high quality. But you can at least get a vague idea I suppose.

I intend to go back with a decent camera and take some pictures of my own. When I do, I will post them. We'll see if anything odd shows up. If it doesn't, then at least we can all appreciate the beautiful building.

The website also has a section about the history of the pub.

daphenrose, I felt the same thing. I didn't feel threatened, just that there was 'something there'. Moreover I felt the whatever was 'there' was aware. Like it knew what was going on in the present day in the pub. But I didn't feel that the prescence I felt matched up with any of the pub's known ghosts...

I kept getting an image of a man in legal-type dress. But maybe that was just my imagination *shrugs*
