Dipping into other people's dreams and becoming part of them. Its awful and terribly awkward.. I know they're not my dreams (hard to explain how) but seriously.. how do i stop this? Its not new- i used to do it when i was little but i was just an observer- normally i stick in my own mind lately, but the dipping has started up again- i want a self fix thing, no outside influences cause they dont work or it screws up something else- but if anyone has an idea, let me know.. its getting really weird..
Please?
Thanks :D

A couple of ideas...
A shielding/grounding meditation before you sleep might help.
I'm not sure of the properties of all gems, but I'm sure someone here is on MW is an expert. You could establish a grid under your mattress to keep you where you are and everything else outside.
It could be that you have a tie to the persons/peoples energy whose dreams you're sharing. If so, you might be able to place limits upon the ties.

Call me neurotic, but I think I can emphathize with you Lady Aeris,
It is ok to have dreams, and it is even sorta ok to be curious and imagine what it would be like to be a part of something, someone, etc.. even though we know the chances of it are a million to one (in my case)
I used it as a means of escapism from my crummy childhood. And now I find myself doing "creative visualizations" for fun, at home so I won't have to think about work.
I know this is not healthy on a continual basis.. I have put a plan of action consisting of smaller steps to achieve bigger steps, all part of a bigger plan..
Dreams? We need them. Without them we cease to strive for something.
if that helps, im here if you need to talk!
oh, a blue turquoise, and a black arrowhead stone under the pillow at night work wonders for night visions :)

Not neurotic ;)
I know.. people are always so curious and want to be able to do things like this.. but dont realize what it requires and the toll it takes. it can be useful- but when im not willing, its an annoyance.. haha.
I love dreams, mine, and even other's dreams- but being sucked into.. well.. whatever is happening. i cant say i like it..
(thank you for the stone advice)
and you really should (like i said in karma) explore what your visualizations can do- i love it.

yes, I know.. but as per my PM, it could be dangerous lol
I have no experience quite like you do in dream tapping, it sounds interesting, and they say there are actually practical uses for it..
I never get visitors though, shame, but if you do decide to visit, let me know so can have the chef prepare fresh scones and I will have to tidy up th castle :)

Need more information...connection between you and person...
Sleeping together ? Lover ? There is a synchronization of brain
waves in this case...creates a type of phase locking...
If not...exactly what is relationship to dream , and people ?
Random , or friends , family ?
There are considerations , if you wish to seal yourself...
Of course...a "simple" Dreamcatcher , over bed...does wonders...

Shawn beat me the the dreamcatcher above your bed suggestion , but I will second the suggestion. Something so simple can really make a difference.

The same questions occur to me as did to Shawn---random unconnected peoples' dreams or people connected to you?
From your post, I'm guessing random dreams, in which case making a better delineation between your subconscious (where your dreams are coming from) and the general collective unconscious.
If you ward your house, I've found that warding your bedroom window as if it's a door is helpful.
If you meditate, doing a meditation before sleeping establishing your mental boundaries and making your dreams more under your control, perhaps with a charm-poem:
I step into my dreams,
To do what I feel.
What is and what seems--
I choose what is real.
If you cast spells or visualize, making an energy bubble around yourself before you go to sleep.
If you have a special connection with a Deity or a Totem, asking Hir to watch over you while you're dreaming.....
Whatever is comfortable and applicable for you.

There have been several- most of which i have no connection with- two of which, i had connects with but have since severed (uncluding threads they had connected to me) [an ex-lover and ex-guardian (ex-stepmom)]
It concerns me because the dreams have been uncomfortable for me- very odd and vile in nature- but they seemed to be at peace and running the circus. When i do dream with someone else, im in control of what i do and its never been an experience like this- the last one literally made me wake up wanting to vomit. There are messages in the dreams, but i know they're not mine and im.. concerned.
I'll try the dreamcatcher- hopefully i can find one- and hope it works. Thank you for the suggestions- and the charm poem- i'll use it tonight.. see how it goes.
What are your thoughts? why all of a sudden? why those two people? why, when they are the two most unstable (as far as spiritually grounded- and ignorant of most things past their own noses) people i've ever come across, can they pull me into their dreams? nightmares? whatever. ..

:hehehehe: haha i love scones~ and castles. you may be in luck. come crash on your couch in one of the living spaces haha
Its interesting until it gets to the point where its violating (as it has been the past few nights) then its just disturbing. i love it- always have- but i want to figure it all out.. so im not waking up in fits of whatever unexplained emotion i have been.. ya know?
