Peridot is my husband's birthstone and I'm curious... what is Peridot's association? What is its elemental association?

You could just search Yahoo/Google-- that's how I got the links for the garnet ;)

Peridot: myths and facts (http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0oGkxfrox5Im3ABNEJXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTEyazE1ZXRvBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDNARjb2xvA3NrMQR2dGlkA0Y2NTVfODA-/SIG=12r1f4a6p/EXP=1210053995/**http%3a//www.gemsbrokers.org/gemstone/gems_and_gemology/peridot_myths.htm) -- number 4 on the search results (http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0oGkxBSox5I3o0AnahXNyoA?p=peridot+symbolism&y=Search&fr=ytff1-yff2&ei=UTF-8) for example.

"Peridot symbolism"
"Peridot lore"
"Peridot meaning"
"Peridot correspondence"

Will all get you the info you're looking for.

The obvious elemental association would be earth due to its green-ness, but I assume it would be applied elsewhere.

Yup, I'd say Peridot is associated with the earth also.

Peridot I associate with a minor chakra, or acupoint location just below the xiphoid process in the torso. I like it for relieving hot flashes & night sweats. Also on it's own or together with hematite at that location for acid reflux. I associate it with the wood element within the Chinese 5-element system.

earth.. several people I know link it with water as well.. It's actually a very interesting gemstone.... I worked with one crystal which withouty a doubt was linked with air... I think a lot has to do with where it was mined. I've heard of some pieces which came from fairly high altitudes and others which came from places which wee at sea level and actually in one place got washed over by high tides... I had the chance to visit this mine and t was amazing... if you collected a crystal at low tide it still had a light salt covering from the water... even after rinsing the crystal still had the taste of salt water.. it still does today.
