when you paint?

have you used your body to apply paint? ie. hands, fingers, toes,
feet, etc.

I have found using my hands and fingers on a painting to be very
fulfilling. It added something to the experience......visceral.

Only accidentally when I put the side of my hand on a spot that took 30 minutes to get just right and then slap all that color down somewhere it's not supposed to be........followed by lots of colorful expletives!!!

I've used my hands...However, I have done a crayon drawing with my feet before. :D

I did most of my work in a summer oil-painting class with my fingers, so I didn't ruin my brushes. :D

I don't paint, but I do a lot of drawing with chalks or charcoal. I use the fingers quite a bit of time to blend, or to apply a hint of color when and where needed. My hands and lower arms get really messy when I draw.

I also remember a drawing exercise (sp?) that my art teacher in high school (over 15 years ago mind you) where we had to use our mouth. If I remember, she had us use our feet at one time too. She was kind of on the eccentric side at times, but I learned great deal from her too.

I used my hands to paint my kids rooms I took lots of dif. colors and went to town finger painting the walls. The kids joined in and we had a ball. I turned out so amazing. I was so sad when we moved from there because they just painted it all over. one of these day I Will get motivated to do there rooms again.... But they are getting to the age that they dont want moms weird style.
