Has anyone kept a journal for meditation? For what they see hear or experience?
I did start one good many years ago and with trying to meditate more I thought of starting one again, but just thought I would ask if anyone else uses or has one.

Yes, I find it quite useful in looking back to see what works, what doesn't, if my feelings about it were on point...
Also I hope to co-write books on spirituality with my fiance someday so I consider our notes on meditations, etc "research"

Yes that is what I find to. I also find when it comes to places and figures it helps me remember events and such easier to.
And I wish you the best on writing your book :)

Your welcome :)
So what type of things do you do to remember details? Do you write it down as it is happening ( yes I do that at times), or do you wait till your meditation is over?

I do it when I am done meditating..
it seems to make it come in much clearer when I write my experiances.. its almost like someone is whispering to me as I go

See for me sometimes I find it easier to write it down when I am done, other times I find it better as I go along, staying in meditative form and write... and I have to say I am surprised with how neat I can write even with my eyes closed :)

I wait til it's over. I do remember details, I write what I see, what I feel and how I feel now that it's over. Some can be rather emotional, others not so much. I include the date, time of day, day of the week and weather conditions as well because I feel all of that affects the meditation. Then I can look back and see how I've progressed, what works and what doesn't.
ETA: I always ground after a meditation and bring myself back into "myself" before moving from the meditation position.

I find some meditations grounding :P
I do keep a record of meditations, how I felt, what I experienced, the difficulty/easiness of achieving mindful state and rough idea of length and that. Any thoughts that jumped out at me... These I just tack into my dream/tarot/rune journal :)

I find some are designed to do that and do, others that help me stay awake and grounded.
