What's your favorite gadget?

Out of all the tools out there used for paranormal investigating, which is your favorite? Do you have a favorite brand? Which piece of equipment comes in handy most for you?

If you've never been on an investigation, then I'm sure you've seen at least one show featuring paranormal investigations such as Ghost Hunters. Which piece of equipment that you've seen used seems most interesting or useful to you?

I love the show "Ghost Hunters"! I especially like it when they do EVPs on tape recorders. It is very interesting to hear the ghost's responses, and the sound of their "voices". I also like the meters that measures the fluctuations in temperature in a room. If the room is getting colder that might mean a ghost is in the room.

Tv show wise I like Ghost Trackers becuase it shows some awesome places in Canada that are haunted :D The same with Girly Ghost Hunters( and old show yes but still new to me ) I like the show but think they could do more of a through investigation and be more professional about how they go about things...

As for doing an investigation that is something I would love to do in the near future :)

I like video cameras, specifically the Sonys. They have the Nightshot feature, which works well with IR light, but is absolutely phenomenal with blacklight - the incandescant bulbs, not the fluorescent tubes.

I despise still cameras, especially the digital point-&-shoots.

As for equipment on TV shows, I think the thermal imagers are an interesting tool, IF you understand how they work and know how to interpret what you record.
