Me and my hubby are looking for outside health insurance...we are having a lot of trouble finding an affordable plan that covers everything that we'd need covered.
We'd really really appreciate some help on this.
Most plans say something about not covering pre-existing conditions...that's a problem because that is most of the stuff we need covered. He isn't finding a hard time getting coverage, but I am. So we're looking for companies that you may be familiar, perhaps quotes or websites.
Please let me know. We'd like to have this stuff at least somewhat settled within the next couple weeks. See, we are both changing jobs, and there is no health coverage involved....the pay is good enough that we would probably be able to afford outside health insurance....but the problem is finding a reasonable plan that would cover me...I have some health problems, nothing major. Asthma and I take Paxil, also about to get allergy shots.
ANY ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Well, Most insurances don't cover pre-existing but that is usually only for a 6 month period. Can you go six months without treatment? Pick the best one and hang in there? I have mild asthma and allergies and I could do it but I know people who have it pretty bad.

1800-462-2742 1800 go basic. You may not qulify because you may make too much money but it will cover basic doctors visits. There are also programs that will help with medicines till the 6 months is over. If you have medical coverage now then talk to your dr about meds to tide you over till coverage would take care of your allergies.

Also beg and plead for sample meds, your doc might have a bunch in the cupboard from when the drug sales rep came through. Here in NYS the exclusion is a whole year, so six months is pretty nice!
