I choose not to use my "Witch Name" on the board. And so have others. If you don't like Vala as your "Witch Name" that's OK. Take your time. It'll come to ya. If you do decide to use that's OK too. Glad your here and welcome!

my name comes from a few different things;
I have a strong affinity to Earth, (as do many of us!)
My Hubby is moondog,
I'm a potter and I work with Earth constantly,
I've got 4 cats and relate well to cats in general,
and there's usually a cat on my potters wheel.
(Good thing cat hair burns off completely in the kiln!)
So it all ties together in a weird way: earthcat:D

And I, too, think your name is beautiful. If you decide that you don't wish for Vala to be your magickal name, don't become discouraged if it takes a little time to find the name you are comfortable with. I believe you will know when you have found it. Annika is not my magickal name....just a name I've always loved (and what I was going to name my daugher if I'd chosen to have children). I disovered my magickal name a full year after I seriously began to study the Wiccan path. I wasn't looking for one at all, but I knew the minute I layed my eyes on it, that it was the right one for me.

It is a beautiful name.

I have a native american name that was chosen for me as a baby at my naming ritual.. Suwanee which means Southwind.

But I find my magical name changes over time.
