I had an arguement with someone this morning over pentacles and pentagrams....what's the difference between the two?

From what I understand a pentacle is the star with a circle around it and a pentagram is just the star.

That's the way I understand it too.
But there's no need to argue over it cause some folks see it the other way. It's just what seems right for you really.
