This is really odd...any thoughts?

Alright so for the past few days the number 111 has been showing up in so many places. For two days in a row I had 111 junk mail messages, then one day was a different number and today I had 111. I had 111 unread messages for a news group. I was reading a book and it said refer back to page 111. I'm sure there's been more but I just cant think of them right now. Do you guys think this could be a sign for something? Or do you think its just coincedence? Does the number 111 has some sort of meaning?

I'm not sure. I actually thought of the same thing a couple days ago when I looked at my clock at work two days in a row and it was 1:11 p.m. But I dismissed it much the same way I dismiss all of the Alice in Wonderland references I've gotten over the past two years that I've never been able to figure out (mostly because I tried to read through it to get rid of the references, but I couldn't get past chapter 3 because I hate Alice in Wonderland).

It could be 111 or it could be III (the Roman Numeral for 3). Or it could just be coincidence. The main question is.... what significance can you personally attribute to 111?

I know what you mean, it seems that I always look at the clock at 11:11, but I have no idea why I'm drawn to doing that then. :dis:

Well if you feel that you are supposed to notice this number, then you probably are. But you may not know why for awhile. Maybe it means November 1rst? Are you planning anything around then? Do you have a test? A birthday?
It will be interesting to find out, so keep us posted.

Just to expanded on what Greta said it could also refer to Jan. 11th also.

But if the numbers are suppose to stand for a date or a time or something else. I don't know. But keep us posted.

Here is my contribution and it's an odd-looking .02 ;)

The number 666 comes up on me at least once a week and has for years. It's either the price of something or my change from it, in someone's phone number or I'll see it on a license plate. I've seen it everywhere.

I don't know what it is and I'm not sure I care. Everytime I see it, I'm reminded of "The Pattern" so to speak. Maybe that's all there is to it: a gentle reminder that all of this is bigger than me.

I find this thread veeeery interesting - there's a whole lot of information about the number 11:11, 11, etc. and obviously 111 isn't far off. my birthday is 6-23 adn I always look at the clock at 6:23. I have even woke up and looked at clock and it is 6:23. I have a coffee pot that had the wrong time on it. I got up in hte night for water and when I looked at the coffee pot it said 6:23. Happens all the time. Don't know why though.

That's a very interesting topic! I always found that strange that when I look at the clock it's usually 4:44. And by the way, Nov. 11 is Polish Independence Day:p
