View Full Version : Any Strange Mercury Phenomena going on?

This week or last few weeks, has been utterly insane for me. Communication issues really seem to be popping up all over the place. Arguments with friends, and family, mostly due to communication problems. People not taking the time to understand what I'm saying before flying off the handle, or vice versa. ME not taking the time to listen, before flying off the handle. Rash judgements, and decisions, etc.
I'm a Gemini, and several of the people I've had the issues with this week, have been Gemini's, too.
Is anything really odd going on in Mercury this week? Any other astrological phenomena which could cause these problems?

Those who hang out in C&T know I've had horrible issues too! Ugly unwarranted gossip and communications issues - but I thought Mercury wasn't retrograde until September???
(Things have cleared up in the past 48 hours or so for me).

I wonder if it had anything to do with the Full Moon? Yes...Azure, exactly. Unwarranted Gossip, communication issues, etc. Seems like it might be passing for me too, I just hope everything stays clear for a while.

Me too. Actually things are back to really good, where I need them to be really good - but last weekend, due to some really malicious gossip, was without question the worst two days of my entire life excepting only a few significant deaths. Yes, that bad.

the next Merc Rx isn't for weeks but I wonder where Aquarius/Uranus fall in your chart DT as they are related to techonogical communications.
i have noticed mad whackadoo things happening myself with elctronic communication equipment last week, so you are not alone in this!

Ok. My Uranus is 29 degree's Libra 11'53"r
I don't have any major aquarius positionings. But most of my difficulties, were not computer ones. Offline communications. Friends, family. Phone, in person, etc.

I don't believe that the current problems are caused by a Mercury transit, but rather a Sun/Mars conjunction that has been in affect for some weeks now. Whenever these two get together there is usually a rash of fires, and I don't mean little ones, but some fairly large fires, like those in the West this summer season. That whenever the Moon makes a quarter aspect to this duo, that the problem usually turns to personal issues, like those you all are talking about. There was a Sun/Mars opposition to Uranus which also occured with a full Moon during the last part of last week. I suspect this is the cause of many social problems.
Danustouch, I did a quick analysis of your Tertiary positions and youe tertiary progressed Mercury is somewhere around 2* Taurus (sidereal Zodiac), this would account for many of the problems you have been having with the things ruled by Mercury.

Well, that explains a lot of what is going on in my life too. It was real bad last week, especially around the time of the full moon.
Any good news to share in the upcoming weeks?
Oh and ps to methane.. last year I asked about my relationship with my daughter which was stormy to say the least. You said, based on our charts, that it was rocky but would get better. And guess what..it has! My mom even told me yesterday she can see a 110% difference, that we are now very close. Thanks for helping me see through the bad times there. :)

Chryssi 1, yes I remember that. I believe that her Tertiary Mars was conjunct your birth Sun, or something like that. Thanks again for the up date, and your kind words of approval.

as far as something good coming this season, I havn't had the time to devote to Sidereal Astrology, since I have changed residences and am now living in southeast Kansas. And besides, I left some of my things in calif., will have to go back there and retrieve some of them, especially when the weather cools off.
The sun is "void of course" during the next 10 days or so, but its near but separating, conjunction with Mars will be in effect at least until mid September. This is when Mars will be too far behind the Sun (about 10 degeees) to consider it a conjunction.

Mercury will be retrograde from Sept. 15 to Oct. 6th. A retrograde Mercury usually denotes times of not getting things done because of reversal of forces of those things ruled by Mercury. These includes, hindrances to promptness of keeping appointments, delays in shipping and receiving (west coast longshoremen's strike) , lost messages, one's communications are often held up or even lost, travel delays which are totally unforseen, and the like. that the best utilizaton of a retrograde Mercury is to take care of old business, things that have been put off for one reason or another.
A retrograde Mercury is not usually the root of arguments and other combative situations, unless one makes them so, due to circumstances. These are more attributable to Mars or asteroid, Pallas.

I can't believe I was unaware that Mercury is retrograde, usually I am up on these things. But life has been so chaotic lately, and it somehow slipped my notice. (go figure...)
HOWEVER....
In the past three weeks or so, the following have happened:
My company laptop had a new problem just about every other day and finally it just died. Had to get a new one. I got a call from my boss telling me to come in and pick up a new computer, and when I got there, no one from the IT department could find the new one. After an hour, they found it, and I decided to make sure it was ok before I left with it. It was not ok, it crashed immediately. Another was found, and I almost got sent on my way without them initializing it for me, which would have necessitated a return trip.
The paperwork to start my health insurance for my new job got lost in the mail. I was told I could sign up over the phone. I called and got halfway through the automated system before it hung up on me. I called back and somehow my boyfriend/domestic partner had been registered as my son, and had supposedly been born the day before. Funny, I don't remember ever being pregnant...
Somehow, my telephone bill has become two bills. The phone company sent me one bill, which I paid. I then got a bill which told me I had a very large credit on my account, that I had overpaid considerably. Then I got a bill telling me I was past due. All this within two weeks' time. When I called, I was told that somehow I had two accounts for the same phone number. I have had this number for 5 years now without a problem.
Fortunately, Mercury goes direct in a few more days. Whew!

Does anyone know how this might affect trying to get a job? I've been turned down for several and I'm not used to that. I'm getting pretty discouraged :(

Our curent retrograde/stationary Mercury is also squared Saturn and is being approached by Mars, which only adds to the problems. Most any planet aspected to transiting Saturn invariably cause delays, mechanical failures, in ability to get started with any project, and similair situations. With Mars and Saturn, one should be fully aware of falls, equipment failures, accidents and the like. Mars will square Saturn on Oct. 15th, and from that time on, the effects will be waning until month's end.
Venus will also be retrgrade from Oct. 15 to Nov. 21st. This portends times of social separations, difficulties, and exploring the possibilities of re-establishing old friendship or associations.
Although any alliances made at this time will probably prove to be unsatisfactory in the long run.
Frejya, now is not the time to be looking for a job. I suggest that you wait a week before starting out. Also, if you would like, perhaps I can tell when would be a good time for job hunting. I'll need your birth data. You can PM me if you wish.

Good luck with your job concerns, Freyja!
Like everyone else, the Mercury Retrograde has been affecting my life immensely lately. Oh communication problems! Fortunately, things have been clearing up for me a bit. So as the Mercury Retrograde comes to an end, does it gradually lead to a state of normality? After all, my life is becoming much more sane and happier now that the Mercury Retrograde is ending soon.

Feeyja, I believe that I cleared it out yesterday 10-5. But I will check it again, and will be back to this thread.
OK, I just got back and there are no messages contained it my PM box.
BTW the signature "methane" is really swamp gas, and is the same stuff that causes explosions in drains, sewers, and land-fill dumps. How much more "earthy" can one get? (I tried to get the grinning smiley face to be transferred to this post, but it will not co-operate.)

 I think I know what the problem is, I tried to send this and it says that your inbox is still full, so I'll just post everything here and hope it helps.
What I have found out is that you may have old messages that are not showing when you access your box. If you're still having trouble, have it show you messages from the last 30 or 60 days. And also check your sent messages. You may have more to delete than you know! Took me months to figure this out. Anyway ~
Thanks for taking the time to do that for me. That's very consistent with a tarot reading that someone just did for me, and very consistent with my own feelings. I'm very seriously considering changing from my chosen profession, at least for a while.
Also, you said that if I take the first job that comes along, it would be "Not unsatisfactory." I'm taking that to mean that it'll be okay.......just wanted to clarify that's what you meant.
My vehicle is having a few problems, so I'm limiting my driving anyway - or the thing may have already happened because I hit a deer about two weeks ago! I really appreciate it, thanks so much.
Hugs,
Freyja

Freyja, the "not satisfactory" part is meant to represent your reactions to a new job at this time. Perhaps, at some other time in life, a new job or profession will be more emotionally satisfying. But now, it is time to "clean house". BTW thanks for the reply about my PM box. I will check that possibility now.
There is nothing shown in any box, even going back 60 days.

:) Let me know if that solves the problem.
I recently applied for a job that is not in my profession, although my skills would benefit me in many areas. The pay is decent and it's a six month temporary position, so it would fit in with what you're saying. Maybe I'll get this one.
