OOOOO, I love rats:ahhhh: :ahhhh: :ahhhh:

I had a male rat in college, his name was 'Ratfink' he would ride on my shoulder and watch tv with me.

They are so much cleaner then hampsters or mice, or gueanie pigs.....

Yours looks like a male (the pic makes him look smaller than a female),

is it a male?

:boing: :boing: :boing: :boing: :boing: :boing: :boing: :boing:

I can fly

:boing: :boing: :boing: :boing: :boing: :boing: :boing: :boing:

Actually, that's a picture of a random rat from the net. But yes, my real pet rat is a male ;)! (He's hooded, so he looks alot like the rat in the picture)

Evil Alberta law makes in a very bad thing to own a rat. I'd consider moving just so I could love a thing like that. The picture is so cute!

Alberta? Why? Rats don't do anything.....unless they breed into a huge colony and eat all the vegetation....;)

But...

-Some Southeastern countries eat rats, so how bad could they be?

-The rat comes first in the Chinese Zodiac, so how bad could they be?

-Domestic rats don't carry human diseases, so how bad could they be?

I :heartthro rats!
I :heartthro rats!
I :heartthro rats!
I :heartthro rats!

Awww! What a cute rat! :) A friend of mine in high school had a couple rats and she let them crawl on my shoulders. I have never been tickled so badly as I was by those rats nosing in my hair. *smiles*

Rats are so smart, too. My mother refused to let me have them when I was growing up.

Rats are adorable, but I probably couldn't get one; mostly because I have 2 cats who chase any rodent that moves. :)

I wish I could have a rat. My mom won't let me get any rodents tho. :( I had a pet coconut when I was little, and a pet log. I was a very odd child. 8O

I had a pet rock, and a pet alien (it was a tiny light bulb from a car overhead light). As my mother said yesterday “You were a very strange child.” And that’s my *mom*.

I used to have a rat!! she was the sweetest pet I ever had, including my cats and bird! *chuckles*

Her name was Blackie (guess what colour she was?). We used to bunch up blankets and she'd nose tunnels. . . really fun! She never bit, and I swear that rat was potty trained. She refused to go poop anywhere but her cage. Such a good baby!

she died when we got our cats :( I was a little kid, too little to clean the cage. With the excitement of the new kittens, we forgot about the rats (mom put them way up high on the shelf). They died. :( *whimpers* I still feel horrible for that, even though I know I was so little it wasn't my fault.

I am a rat lover too. I don't have any pet rats now but have had many in the past. They are the best. We have quite a population of wild rats here. I live on a farm so they are around, looking for grain remnants from the chickens and horses. I don't want to be overrun so we have cats to keep a balance. If rats could fly they might be called BRATS, instead of bats. LOL

I miss my rat. His name was Nicodemus and he liked to ride in my pocket and eat carrots. I had him in 10th grade. :(
