When I do a reading, there are a couple of things I always do. little things that trigger my intuition. first, after the person shuffles and cuts, I take the deck back and thump it with my middle finger and say "okay. here you go". Then as I begin the Reading, I shake my hand in a certian way. often unconciously, but I canget my intuition flowing simply my making my hand shake. When the reading is over, I colse myself off by kissing my deck and saying- "hope it helps!"

Triggers are a form of conditioning- and a great way to instantly switch your mind to an altered state of conciousness. Does anyone here use triggers? What do you do- what little quirks do you always do when giving a reading?Inquiring minds want to know.

Yep, I do!
I shuffle in threes - shuffle three times, cut into three piles or shift the cards around three times. The way I position the piles during cut, how I pick them up too. I also sometimes tap the deck three times.
All of this helps my mind know that I'm beginning a reading.

I've noticed a few of my fellow readers here locally have similar quirks.

Mine is also in the way that I shuffle. In sevens. Seven riffle shuffles, and seven overhand shuffles.

Nope - though we teach together when others ask to learn.
