I just got the Lord Of The Rings Tarot deck the other day and I have to say I really like it. Really good graphics and an interesting use of characters on the cards. Does anyone else have this deck? If so what do you think of it?

Doesn't it say something like "Tarot Deck and Game" on the box? What's the game?
I want them, I'm just broke :(

It's hard to describe the game without seeing the cards. I was given the deck and book a few years ago as a gift.
I like the deck immensely, even though I am not partial to 'theme' decks since most of them are lousy. This one is very detailed , but when you take a series of limitations and impose another series of limitations upon them, some things have to give. For instance, a few 'other' Tolkein characters not in LOTR appear in the deck ( like Tom Bombadill). With as many characters in LOTR, you would think the deck was a shoe-in, but the designers really had to stretch a few characterizations and scenes to get them to apply to the card meaning.
Don't get me wrong; I love the deck. Hopefully, the will be a LOTR - The Movie tarot deck out in a few years.

found it :)
Looks really neat, and captures the essense of the deatiled books.. but does the writting at the bottom distract you at all from the reading?

I bought 2 decks, one for me and one for the kids. They play the game that is explained in the booklet and use it for regular card games as well minus the major Arcana. They enjoy them and have taken care of them in putting away like I do my own decks. It was a leap of faith but I wanted them exposed and not to view the tarot as something dark and evil.
