Well, it's not looking so good. He hasn't eaten in 2 weeks. He won't drink, despite several soaks a day. No bowel movements or urine. Constant sleeping and lethargy... I think he has coccidia. And if that's the case, he's not going to recover. I have to tube feed him critical care once a day. Tomorrow he'll get 3cc of subcutaneous fluids. I have to keep him on paper towels to collect any possible poo. He has another appointment next Thursday. I'm hoping that I can collect some poo to have tested. I gotta know what's wrong with him. It's just terrible watching him go thru this. I'm so devastated. Here's a link to coccidia in tortoises:

Please, please send my little guy some healing energy, and if he's destined to not make it, please send him some comfort to make the process as comfortable as possible.

Thank you everyone! I administered his second saline injection today. His little head and feet were squirming so bad from the pain. It breaks my heart to do it to him but he desperately needs fluids. He had his 3rd tube feeding as well. My boyfriend and I took him outside for some sun and he actually perked up and was running around thru the grass. I think the sun did him some good. I'm going to try to take him out every day if it's nice and warm. Please keep sending the love!

Energy sent to the little guy...Turtles are probably my most important totems and I have 7 of them but I lost my Russian tortoise last year, he just didn't make it out of hibernation. I truly hope he makes a full recovery!
