This was touched on in another thread:
What movie or set of movies do you think would make a decent tarot deck?
LOTR trilogy
Star Wars trilogy
Star Trek (in any combination)
******
As a joke, what bunch of silly movies would make a lousy-but-interesting collectable tarot deck?
Tarot of Saturday Night Live Characters
Tarot of National Lampoon Vacation Movies
The Judy Garland/Mickey Rooney Goodie Two-Shoes Tarot
The James Bond Villians Tarot

As far as I know there will be no 'official' Star Wars deck because Lucas will not sanction one; too bad, because the archetypes he uses would produce a terriffic one!

I like the few anime-theme decks I've seen, never owned one given the prices they go for on EBay. I don't know if this counts under the topic, though.

I would like to see a Xena or Hercules themed deck. (even though it's a TV program)
I would also like to see:
Vampire Chronicles inspired deck (Anne Rice)
Austin Powers deck
Those are the only two I could think of off the top of my head.

O I didnt know there was a LOTR deck out.. runs off to do a search on it :)
lol thinking about it.. Id like to see a Sex in the City style deck, a really modern take but using all the old classic depictions of the cards, I think each of the girls could be each of the court queens!

I'd love to get my hands on any anime deck (especially Escaflowne, though it's very rare  )
But as for movies.... The Crow! :D

I have a LOTR deck and I love it! I found it at Books-A-Million reasonably priced as far as decks go! As for a deck I would love, I would have to say a I think a Harry Potter deck would be amusing, however as it would start more controversy than good, I doubt if it would ever happen. :( Be that as it may I bought 2 LOTR decks when I got them and there is a card game to be played and my sons love playing it. It was money well spent and they now know the cards by sight (not their divination meanings of course) better than I do. :T

ooh I would dearly LOVE a Star Wars deck!! but maybe an "unofficial" one so you can pull in characters and situations from the books, as well, because they are really incredible.
(well, up until this latest string of 'em. . . phoo. They're doing strange, evil things! Killing off Chewie!? Making Anakin Solo into some sort of jerk?? did the authors not read the books about Anakin that came before these?! jimany!!)

I would have to say some sort of classic movie deck.
Charles Kane, The Inventor (from the Time Machine, I'm taking more from the book here though), Jim Stark (Rebel Without a Cause), etc.
Being the oldie movie person I am, I think I'd get along quite nicely with a deck like that.

I would love to own a star trek tarot set!
Other interesting decks would be:
Farscape
Buffy/Angel
And my Russel Grant deck has planets/star signs/chinese signs instead of the minor arcana, and they are really good in readings.
