Today was a beautiful day. Despite how stressful and hectic this past week has been for me, and how painful and such evreything has been for me lately...

...today was a beautiful day. :) When I got out of class today, it was really cloudy and evident that it had rained. I had to go to a job interview at a local fast food place with my buddy so I went and picked him up, stopped by the restaraunt (who TOTALLY blew us off, for the *second* day in a row, so we walked out. :)), then we went over to my best girlfriend's house to hang around.

Then it absolutely poured. It was raining so hard, and everything was so beautiful. The sun was shining through the clouds *just* right and everything was blue and yellow. The street flooded and we all danced around on the street in the rain, jumping in puddles and kicking water at each other until we wore ourselves out and sat around watching the sun set in the rainy clouds... and when it set, there was constant lightning over in the eastern sky that was so beautiful and had me in a trance...in fact, it's STILL going on. :D It was wonderful: the blue clouds against the ebony sky, and everytime the lightning struck, you could see all the clouds that were hiding in the shadows. You couldn't hear its thunder, either... just see the consistent flashing.

Sigh...after all the crap that's been happening around me and stuff, I just decided to take a day with the people that actually *care* about me.... and what a calming day. Just sitting around with my two best friends watching nature prove its wonder to us... and getting soaking wet in the rain, for no reason other than the pure fun of it. :)

Wee... I'm feeling so much better. That's just what I needed.

Leave it to mother nature and friends to make it all better. It's like kissing a booboo :p

Hehehe, just had to share.

SS, that is wonderful. Next time things start to get you down, try to draw on the energy from this day. I hope that these moments keep coming to you.

I am so glad you share your felings with us. You are so good at putting into words the feelings that many of us have felt in our own lives. I have been in that same spot myself and couldn't quite explain why everything felt so much more tolorable. I think it is the sun shining through the rain!!

Thanks again!

Rain is an excelent way of re-energising the body, its nature at its best - giving back to us.

Glad you enjoyed it while you could, so many people dont have that ability. I have never understood why people need rain coats or umbrellas.
