Hey all!

Okay so I was wodnering if anyone knew of any good places online that would have visual copies or images of papyrus such as the

Book of Coming forth by Day, and the book of gates

I'm currently doing an art project while researching egyptian deities and religious imagery. So far I have been able to find a few representations on google and am also scanning images from books but does anyone know of any decently sized image archives?

Some museums have online images of their collection, you could try searching there, such as here at the British Museum collection database (http://www.britishmuseum.org/research/search_the_collection_database/search_results.aspx?orig=%2Fresearch%2Fsearch_the_collection_database.aspx&searchText=egyptian+papyrus&images=on&fromDate=&fromadbc=ad&toDate=&toadbc=ad&x=10&y=11) I just searched for "egyptian papyrus" and got over 200 results. I don't know if any of those are of interest to you.

Thankyou! Thats kind of what I'm looking for. This site is cool though becasue you can order larger images thats cool.

I'll explain my motives. I'm trying to collect images of as many Gods as possible from online, books etc,. I've compiled an archive of many different cultures for my own reference. I found that with lesser known Gods... or Gods who only served a single purpose there are few visual representations, and the majority of those are not found on the regular website, mostly only in a few papyri... I'm sure everyone in this forum knows that.

Also it's nice to have original documents on hand.
