I recently spoiled myself with a deck of Celtic Rune Cards. I could not resist, the artwork is breathtaking and they actually called to me. My friend who owns the local "Supply Shop" said he had ordered 2 decks and was sent 3 and had kept them in the back until the person they were for spotted them.... too weird eh? ANYWAY, here is the debate, which do you prefer, STONES OR CARDS OR BOTH??
edited for spelling, if I could only spell as well as I cast

Well I do have both tarot and runes, but I don't have the tarot set I want. It will come to be when it is time... So I don't read them very often. I don't like the cards that were given to me so I don't read them well.
My runes were made by me - from clay. They are made usingthe Seax - Wica runic alphabet and each one has a meaning which is meaningful to me.
I use my runes more... But I don't know if I have a preference yet.

My runes I made from Jasper stones, and I use them about once a month for a personal or to give a reading to a friend :)
Ive thought about getting some rune cards but I love the energy from my stones and associate runes with stones / wood / little round things not cards like I do with the tarot.

Mine too ;)
But I do use cards occasionally. I used cards for about five years and although I could read for myself, I was never comfortable reading for others. When the runes found me, an entire new plane was opened for me. I use them almost exclusively now.

I use both :)
My rune sets are oak and clay, but I am thinking of making some out of stone some day...
I use my cards as often as my runes. I am comfortable with both. So depending on what work I am doing, what type of reading, what the spirits tell me, I choose my cards or my runes...

I've never had cards, just ceramic runes which I like a lot.

I read with both my cards - Rider-Waite, Robin Wood, and I've just got the Goddess Tarot given to me - and my runes, which I made myself using river stones.
My cards are like me - they tend to give long, voluble answers, sometimes hedging round and issue and basically giving lots of information.
My runes are so powerful, and are so obviously not like my own personality they almost scare me! They just cut right to the heart of the matter - "This is it. Now deal with it." I love that, sometimes.

I use runes. I feel more comfortable with them than cards. I currently have 2 sets of runes...a set I bought and a set I made. I tend to use the set I made for my own personal readings. Being that I made them, I feel drawn to them more often than not because they have more of my own energy in them. As for cards, I would like to make a set of rune cards. That however is down the road.

I mean I used to read animal entrails, but now that's frowned upon, what with all the animal rights activists and such. I enjoy scrying, but never had much luck with my black mirror. I see much more in clouds and in fires.

We did a thread on entrails not too long ago:

Methods of Divination
ALECTRYOMANCY is divination whereby a bird is allowed to pick corn grains from a circle of letters. APANTOMANCY is divination through chance meetings with animals, birds, and other creatures. Mexico City is said to have been founded where Aztec soothsayers saw an eagle flying from a cactus carrying a live snake. ARITHMANCY or ARITHMOMANCY is an earlier form of NUMEROLOGY where divination is made through numbers and the number value of letters. ASTROLOGY is divination using celestial bodies: the sun, moon, planets, and stars. CARTOMANCY is fortune telling using cards such as the Tarot. CATOPTROMANCY is an early form of crystal gazing that utilizes a mirror turned to the moon to catch moonbeams. CERAUNOSCOPY seeks to draw omens from the study of thunder and lightning. CEROSCOPY (or CEROMANCY )is a form of fortune telling in which melted wax is poured into cold water. CHEIROMANCY is divination from the shape of the features and lines on people's hands, known more popularly as PALMISTRY. CLAIRAUDIENCE is "clear hearing" of divinatory information. CLAIRVOYANCE is "clear seeing" of divinatory information. Parapsychologists generally regard these as forms of extrasensory perception. CRYSTALLOMANCY is divination through crystal gazing. GEOMANCY is the study of figures on the ground and the influence of the Earth's "currents" or Ley Lines. GRAPHOLOGY is the analysis of character through handwriting. LECANOMANCY uses a basin of water for divination. This is the method Galadriel uses in The Lord of the Rings. ONEIROMANCY is the interpretation of dreams and their prophetic nature. ONOMANCY is the study of the meaning of names. PHRENOLOGY is the long practiced study of head formations. PRECOGNITION is an inner knowledge or sense of future events. PSYCHOMETRY is the faculty of gaining impressions from a physical object and its history; the most effective retainers of residual energy are metal, then wood, though sometimes articles of clothing may also be used. RHAPSODOMANCY is a means of divination using a book of poetry whereby the book is opened at random and a passage read. SCIOMANCY is divination using a spirit guide, a method generally employed by channelers. SCRYING is a general term for divination using a crystal, mirrors, bowls of water, ink, or flames to induce visions. TASSEOGRAPHY is the reading of tea leaves that remain in a tea cup once the beverage has been drunk.

I prefer tarot cards as they seem to give more complex answers and impressions, whereas the runes I use are quite simple and blunt. I like the pretty artwork ;)

I always use the Runes to let Spirit guide me. I have a hard time using cards.
