My youngest girl, Charlotte who is PDD-NOS (autistic) won first place in the science fair at school today. She's very shy but got in front of the whole gymnasium & gave her litte speech & displayed her project. I was so thrilled that she spoke in public was teary eyed & then she won 1st place. Mama become a blubbering idiot. I'm so proud of her. She's doing so well & I've been so worried she'd not perform well in school. :boing::boing::boing:

My reaction to Charlotte's performance had the teachers crying because they were so touched. Lots of stress & worry in my life at the mo, it was so nice to have something to be hopeful about for a change.

Just wanted to share with you all. :)

Awww, congrats to Charlotte. :smileroll I've always been shy, especially when I was a kid, so I know how hard it had to be for her to get up and speak in front of the whole gymnasium.

Thanks everybody. It's so wonderful seeing Charlotte so proud of herself. She's been carrying her 1st place blue ribbon around everywhere & even fell asleep clutching it last night. :)

Awww!!! Congratulations to her! I remember how we felt when my little brother Sam was elected the King of the Valentine's Dance, it's a beautiful feeling! But this is even better, this is something for her academics, and I would be blubbering like a fool too!!! *high five to Charlotte*

Actually, autistic kiddos are often very good at academics, it's the social stuff that gives them fits. I think they are both something pretty special. So belated CongaRats to your brother too. :fpraise:

Congrats to both you and Charlotte, I'm happy she got up and spoke in front of the whole gymnasium, and I'm happy for her and you that she won first place, she deserves to be really proud and happy of that (it's more than I could've done for science).

Again, congrats :hugz: :hugz: .
