Ok, to complement the "If you're ever in" thread, I thought I'd start a thread of places, events, etc. to AVOID. Such as:

Cleveland, Ohio
Rochester, New York
Pawtucket, Rhode Island
Sanford, Florida

Who's next?

Lawrence, KS is pretty nice, but skip the rest of it.

Antioch, TN would be a big no.
Dubuque, IA.
Council Bluffs, IA.

Digby, Nova Scotia.
Don't eat anything labeled "Chinese" in Nova Scotia outside Halifax, by the way. The Nova Scotians have an interesting idea of foreign cuisine...

ALL OF SOUTH FLORIDA, October - April. We call it SNOWBIRD season. As an idea of what I mean, picture almost every senior citizen (incapable of driving) IN FRONT OF YOU AT EVERY SINGLE @#%#$%$#$%# STOPLIGHT!!!!!!! Other than those times, come on down, lets make it a group meeting and we can all DO DISNEY!!!!!

The Midwest this coming winter. It's going to be long & rough. The migratory birds are already heading south...over a month early.

I could easily take offense by this since my entire family is originally from South Yonkers--however, NONE of them live there now! LOLOL

I have to admit, when I first saw this titleof this thread, I got all excited thinking it was about Monty Python!!!

Actually, I liked living in Hastings! :)

It's not the towns, it's the people--I grew up studying the history and fell in love with it. The people I could do without!

Oh wait! My grandfather still lives there...and one or two other folks I know! hehehehe

Any small town in rural Mississippi or Alabama. Beautiful natural scenery and wildlife, but the people.......................With a few exceptions, the 20th century has passed them by.....not to mention the twenty-first! Wiccans surely aren't welcome, unless you happen to be fortunate and meet some like-minded people. It doesn't happen often.

Ellensburg Washington. It's a great place if you belong to the old families with the rich blood. If you're an outsider, you're pretty much ignored at best. Everyone I've gotten to know there are not from Ellensburg and for the most part feel the same as I do.
