Way to go, Emaleth! You have chose such a noble profession. I too got a new job. Usually, I teach sixth graders. However, I am now going to teach fourth and fifth graders with learning disabilities. Like you, I am excited and terrified at the same time. I'm mainly nervous, since I have never taught students with severe learning disabilities. I am positive that I can do a good job though.

You're so lucky! That's what I wanted to do with my life, but my GPA wasn't high enough to get into the Education faculty at my university....the lowest they'd take was 3.7 and I had a 3.6.... tried for two years and then gave up....decided to go on with my life.
Good luck to you, I'm sure you'll love it.

Congratulations to both of you! I was a teacher of English in Middle School (6-7-8 grades). It cured me FOREVER!:D

I have had the same old boring job for the past 14 1/2 years at a factory building exhaust pipes for different kinds of cars. How BORING!!!!! So right now I am taking a study at home course for a Medical Transcriptionist. I don't know if I could even do an all day sitting job. I hope my bottom doesn't spread out. HEHE
I can't wait to try it though. It will be at least 2 more years before I can. I really want to sing, but too old for that now. All the new artists it seems have to be young and beautiful. Shuts me out both ways.

But anyway, I hope the best for you on your new job. Teaching is a very noble career. Good Luck!!
