i recently discovered that i am an empath. i learned that it was passed down from my grandmother on my dads side, i fit -every- symtom. i feel everyones emotions, i progect my own, i have great intuition, i feel pain, even through movies. i always had it but frecently since my break up wifh my boyfriend (3 year relationship) it has advanced. its an interesting experiance, i am starting to sorta control it by not looking at people. crowds are still uncomfortible for me though.
whats more is i feel like i have spiritual sense of direction. like feeling lead me places. like i felt lost last week so i went for a drive fallowing my feeling and it led me to a place where i had a flash back of a dream and then i didnt feel so lost. so i went home.
i seem to change peoples lives without doing anything...
i dont know if its all related to being an empath because i haave vivid apacoliptic dreams too. my friends i might be an angel fated to do speacial things. what do you think?

:welcome: :D
First off... I've a disclaimer conveniently attached to my signature... please read it...
Lesee... where to start this... It's good to hear that you're developing your abilities. I figure it isn't neccessarily something you just heightened to an ability as much as one you possibly repressed (your ex maybe?). I do admit, however, that this is just my assumption based on a certain amount of experience in the matter (read: toxic "friends" instead of significant other).
I'm glad that you're intuitly learning how to shield yourself from the feelings of others (an invaluable trick to learn if you wish to maintain sanity :D). That being said, also start to try and strengthen your aura, that should help keep you you, and others where they belong, thus making crowds more manageable. (I will admit that I don't tend to block out crowds completely for the purpose of safety, though that's personal preference... and paranoia).
As far as the dream goes... I think it's related to emotions or your sub-conscious mind... or both.
The symbolism? Well... I can't really tell you without getting some sort of feedback to further refine my interpretation, but at a random shot in the dark, I'd say it has to do with you, or the world around you in whole... not neccessarily immenent danger to you or others, but more a symbolism invoked by your inner-self to relate that your perceptions are changing due to events in your life that you do or don't notice... vivid or not, dream interpretations at the best of times can be sketchy, though not impossible. The biggest translation gap one can have in the endeavor is attempting to learn the psychology of the person having those dreams... lest there is a formative link of some type (for instance, I can usually get a general idea of what the dream means if I stare through a persons eyes).. personally, I'd be just the tad cautious to judge this as an omen... lol I went around for 2 years thinking I was half-dragon due to a half-baked yet vivid vision I recieved during meditation... Destined to save this world from something behind the scenes.
What was the truth to the situation? I was under an over-whelming amount of stress, it was an escape mechanism invented by my brain to keep the rest of me sane :). Though I feel there my be some seeds of truth in that vision, I've more or less accepted it as a side-effect of crushing depression mixed with the "can't talk to military shrinks 'cause I'll be out on my ear" mentality one develops when the Air Force decides to cut effective troops to fund their new birdy that gets lost once it goes past the international dateline (F-22 to be specific).
Lemmee reinforce that last statement... be careful when taking that dream as an omen... it might be an omen. I'd use a method similar to one used by ghost-hunters (the valid ones, not the John Edwards [the stage "psychic" not the candidate I was going to vote for] types) in discerning what exactly it is... i.e. exhaust all logical options before submitting it as paranormal...
I mentioned dream interpretation, I figure that's your best bet to get to the bottom of the matter. Ask a member here about reliable resources, don't waste your time investing in one of those dream generator sites most often found in google... matter of fact... I think I remember there being a sub-forum devoted to that topic.
Either way, I hope I've made a modicum of difference in helping you out... if you need me to clarify on something I'll more than happily oblige, just PM me and I'll snap to... Plus... I haven't done this in a while, but feel like I should start-up again, if you want a card reading on the subject gimme a buzz too and I'll hook you up ;). (not to sound cocky, but I do so enjoy giving accurate readings :D)
Well... enjoy your time on this forum, and have fun at it...
Well met,
Thought
