definitely good answers Vinga!
I have to say that I agree with you about prayer going a long way! When you really pray with your heart's desire that can be as powerful as any spell, sometimes even more...

Thank you :sunny:
Not that there's anything wrong with spells, and no offense to anyone, but some people just seem so quick to cast spells left and right 'for the heck of it', and the power of prayer seem gravely underestimated. I think all spells should be cast with great caution and careful consideration, since the whole purpose of a spell is to manipulate the outcome of a situation. In most situations I trust the judgement of the God and the Goddess and I believe they have a purpose with everything they do. Like so many of our wise men and women here have pointed out, to cast a spell you have to realize the counter reaction to your action.
I agree with Sherry, that there have been quite a few inquries about 'quick spells' and 'short-cuts' to magic. I hope those who have asked have a genuine interest to learn the long and 'boring' but correct way, instead of trying to jump in head first. :)

Just another point on the use of prayer. I have found from others use that it pays to be specific and realistic in your prayers. I have friends that have prayed for days for the right thing to happen. The best thing for them, and nothing has happened. Then others that have stated their desires right down to the colour they wanted the living room to be when they found and bought their new house. The ones that were more specific won out in the end. As they had vocalised exactly what they wanted. All the way through to not hurting anyone else in the process.
Vinga, I have to say that I agree wholeheartedly with your senitment.

This is what I usually do, when I pray/meditate, The God and Goddess usually give me a hint about the state of things ( if it's best to wait, to act, or to just forget about the whole thing).I never cast a spell for a particular purpose or directed to anybody in particular but rather for general purposes ( health, protection for those I love, etc) .But all in all casting a spell is never a substitute for action ,don't you see it the same way?

P.S I didn't mean to start a new thread, I guess I must have clicked on the wrong button, oh well...
