Thanks for the forum! I have been looking around for a while and now I am ready to start posing Questions...

Where did you find out about your religion / way of life! I'll go first

I was brought up in a very strict Catholic house and form an early age questiond the "religion", but was never given satisfactory answers. I was about 25 before I found out more about the Wiccan religion (I had given up catholisisom / christianity may years befor) But info was still scarce? In SA computers are very expensive and very few people can afford the internet, the country as a whole frowns upon people who are "not of the norm" and having the majority of the country very steeped in superstition (in small communities WICHES are still burned at the stake - last one being 20/07/02), litrature is very hard to come by. Only in the past year have I found information on the net and become more in voulved in the faith. I enjoy being closer the the earth.

Let me know about your self - where did you find your info or were you born into it.

Thanks.

Typec

There is a lot of information on the internet. And also in this forum (use the search function)

www.wiccan-refuge.com
www.pagansunite.com
www.witchvox.com

Are a few sites to check out.

I wasn't born into my path, I started on it when I was about 15 years old. :)

Hope that helps.

Be careful, My Friend....
I live in midwestern Small Town U.S.A., a community of 2000 people, SIX Christian churches, (including a small Catholic cathedral) and one lil ole eclectic Pagan Witch. ME!
I don't know that I'd be burned at the stake (it breaks my heart to hear that!) if 'they' found out I'm here, but I do think they'd do their best to "save" me; and failing that, run me out of town.

As for how many of us found our Paths, check this thread:

(It's the "Roll call" thread under the "Just Silly" heading.)

Everywhere in my family. Grandma and ma especially. I started fiddling with energy on accident and meditated alot. A local pagan I knew started to tell me some stuff and I made a set of runes.

so I guess I'm a hodge-podge.

no-one knows me as a heathen but it wouldn't be exactly pretty. My mom would think I was being rebellious and shoot in the valley were I leve there is one church for every 200 people ok. its mostly because were pretty rural so people build churches wherever they want so the dont have to go so far.

I never want to find out wich will win between
