I generally use my Faeries' Oracle deck that I have a closer connection to but lately I've felt the need to explore my Llewellyn Tarot. I decided to do a general CC reading for myself; however, after I pulled the cards I got a case of the "could-mean-anythings". So anyone who could help look at this from an objectionable standpoint - thank you in advance. It'd be appreciated.

Card 1: Basis of Situation - Ace of Swords
Card 2: Obstacles (crossover position) - 10 of Swords
Card 3: Subconscious - The Star
Card 4: The Past - King of Pentacles
Card 5: Conscious - The Fool
Card 6: The Future - 9 Wands
Card 7: The Querent - 9 of Pentacles
Card 8: Environment - 8 of Cups
Card 9: Hopes/Fears - Page of Pentacles
Card 10: Final Outcome - The Emporer

Did you have a specific question for this reading?

Looking at the cards as just a general reading, I see a choice that must be made (Ace of Swords) stemming from a betrayal of some sort (10 of Swords). The 10 of Swords may be a brutal betrayal that leaves you feeling stabbed in the back, or it may be more subtle, leaving you feeling used, vaguely disatisfied with a situation, or not quite trusting a person.

The Star is hope, wish upon a star, positive thinking, and optimism, sometimes in the extreme. In this position, it seems to indicate that you've always got a sense that things will somehow work out for the best, which is at odds with the feeling of letdown and betrayal.

The King of Pentacles in the past indicates that this is because of a person, likely a man, but not necessarily. It could be a father or a lover, but whoever he/she is, this person is likely older and someone that you always thought you could trust.

The Fool indicates that is exactly how you are feeling right now; like you should have seen this coming, and now you feel Foolish!

The 9 of Wands indicates a period of rest and recovery after a lot of hard work. In relation to the situation I'm seeing here, it indicates that you will come through it intact, even if somewhat bruised and feeling broken.

The 9 of Pentacles, here representing the self, indicates self-confidence and the ability to get things done. There's a strong measure of success here, and the ability to achieve any goals that are set.

The 8 of Cups in the environment is interesting, as it indicates either the need or the desire to leave, perhaps to physically move your home location, or to simply get away for awhile.

The Page of Pentacles in the Hopes and Fears position indicates a desire to learn more and explore the physical/sensual world, but also the fear to do so. It's the initial excitement about sex, or food, or anything physical, that comes along with a bit of hesitation and fear of the unkown.

Finally, The Emperor indicates that the situation will have a clear resolution in your favor. The Emperor is all about control and dominion, owning a situation, and making it happen the way that you want.

Without knowing the question, that's what I'm getting from these cards.

Thank you aranarose.

My thoughts/question was "How can I sort out all the muddled energy I feel coming in my direction at this time?"

I generally do readings a couple times a year when I feel 'change in the air' - like something is going to happen to me or my situation. Something inside me is saying that this current situation/phase of life is only temporary (as they all are) even though on the exterior it seems as though (logically) everything is fine. I keep feeling that the changes are going to be self-driven but that something else is going to occur to 'push me to that point' - if that makes any sense. I did the reading because I feel strange lately and felt that it's odd that my gut is giving me 'the warning signs of change' when everything seems peaceful here in lalaland (relationships, career goals beginning to come to the forefront).

The 10 of Swords is what really bugged me and why I asked for an interpretation. And the King of Pentacles - he's shown up or fallen out of my deck whenever I even shuffle and he bugs me too. I don't know who he is specifically but I think he relates to a person and not a metaphor.

I do feel that everything will be okay and work in my favor. Such is life. Obstacles come but they are overcome and then we get to where we headed to (I'm an optimist). But I do feel something coming. And I ALWAYS think - my gut said something would happen, why didn't I/can't I know what it is?

The fact that I'm getting the 'sense of change' is that I'm about to commit myself to 2 ventures - one being going backto school, the other a 'business' of sorts. I'm having doubts now and wanted to read because I wasn't sure if they were self-inflicted or if they truly had to do with feeling like I might not be able to complete my committments due to unforeseen circumstance.

I've found that when a court card repeatedly shows up it is representing a very specific person that you either know or will meet very soon.

Perhaps the 10 of Swords is representing that you feel betrayed by your own self-doubt? We can betray ourselves just as quickly, and sometime even more easily, than someone else can.
