Hey I just had a quick question...I haven't much dealt with quartz as I never had much of a draw to it. I recently purchased a double terminated point that had a small rainbow in it.
Now its like changing inside, bubbling, and almost looks like crackling snow, and has another rainbow. Is that normal? What does it all mean?
I'd love to hear opinions from those who know.
Thanks so much

wait for Wolfsong to come back. No one i know has his knowledge on quartz crystals.
but in the meantime are you sure it was a real quartz and not glass. How big is this quartz.

Herees a picture of it. Its a real crystal. You can see the slant of the rainbow in towards the bottom. When I purchased it you could see thru it, now as you can see there are bubbles and things growing inside it. The woman I bought it from said its normal for crystals to grow and change internally. I've no clue. Never seen anything like it.

usually it takes a long long time for natural crystals to from. bubbles do form naturally. in fact milky quartz is a quartz that has thousands of tiny bubbles in it. Like i said we have to wait for Wolfsong. i do know there are artifically grown crystals. but it takes high tempartures for growth or any change to occur. was this left on the stove or a heater. even natural crystals will change under high tempartures.

Oh no, the only warmth its had is from sitting in the sun for a few hours, and the warmth of my pocket.
