dear ones
please be patient w/me as i have several questions regarding reincarnation....
1. is EVERYONE reincarnated? what about murderers and such? do people always come back as people or can we be reincarnated as say...a tree or a bird or whatever? do we get to "pick" what we come back as?
2. do we come back in "certain groups"?...basically same family and friends?
3. (please do not mis-interperate (sp?) this next question) what about suicide?...what if you just want to start over ?...again, i STRESS this is just a question...
4. does karma from a previous life impact reincarnation?...(assuming you believe in karma...i'm not sure there)
any and all opinions will be met with an open minded person trying to learn.
thank you

**smiles** Here's what I think:
1. is EVERYONE reincarnated? what about murderers and such? do people always come back as people or can we be reincarnated as say...a tree or a bird or whatever? do we get to "pick" what we come back as?
No. I don't think everyone is. I think souls can fragment/divide or perhaps bud and that those have to incarnate a first time before they can REincarnate. I think murderers do reincarnate, too. Murdering teaches lessons as well as being murdered. I don't know if I believe that the souls of one kind of species can come back in the body of some other species. I think we do get to pick what gender we get to come back as.
2. do we come back in "certain groups"?...basically same family and friends?
I believe we do, but not necessarily the same groups life after life.
3. (please do not mis-interperate (sp?) this next question) what about suicide?...what if you just want to start over ?...again, i STRESS this is just a question...
I don't think it works that way. To my way of thinking, you (in general, not You, in particular :) ) incarnate to learn a specific set of lessons in each life. If you terminate your life prematurely, you're not punished, but you still have to learn the lessons you were trying to escape before you can move on. And in general, it's easier to just solve your problems while you still have a body so that you can move on properly. Granted, there are certain extenuating circumstances, but I think they'd be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
4. does karma from a previous life impact reincarnation?...(assuming you believe in karma...i'm not sure there)
I don't think so, because I think that each time you incarnate, your true soul takes a back seat and just watches and learns from what the soul fragment currently in charge is doing. When the life is over, the fragment is either merged again with the main/true soul, or else it is deemed fit to be its own separate true soul. So, any karma stuff that occurs happens within that lifetime and doesn't carry beyond that time.
**grins** That's just the Universe According to Melysande. Your mileage may vary.

Some serious questions there!
1) I believe that we come back to learn lessons, or to experience things that we didn't learn/experience in our previous lives. My personal belief is that we can chose to return, and also when we return. I have no memories or recollections of a previous life, but a couple of times something has 'clicked' in my head when I have gained a valuable experience - something that I felt I was looking to learn, although I only realised it afterwards. I don't know whether we all come back as an individual, as I have a strong sense that some personalities merge in one lifetime and come back as a single entity. One of my closest friends is the most rounded person I know, and she feels that she was once 'divided' in a lifetime into two people, male and female. My belief os that each life source is part of the divine, and all life should be respected, even a murderer's life - although it's human nature we abhor those who hurt us and others, but if they are not re-incarnated, how should they learn the life lessons they need to?
2) I don't think we do come back in the same groupings. Although I believe there are some people/entities we connect with almost every time we cycle through. You know how you meet someone, and after a few minutes you feel like you have known them for years? Some of them, I'm sure, have been part of your existance in a previous form.
3) I was brought up to believe that suicide was a sin. I think it is a very selfish thing, because it will end the immediate pain for the person who commits suicide, and leaves those that love them (and there are always those that love them) with terrible feelings of regret and helplessness. But I also have been suicidal, and I know that it takes great strength to decide to carry on, so how can I judge those that do not have the will to continue?
4) My experience is karma is much more immediate - it tends to happen to me rather rapidly, and I don't think I'm experiencing karma from a previous lifetime - more like from what I did a week ago!
Just my humble opinions - would love to hear what other people think!

I really like your description Melysande!
That's how I feel about it too in most ways! Nice to hear I'm not alone on it.

Okay, I'm posting this before I read the others, so you get my view as it stands now. Of course, these are just my views so far.

1. is EVERYONE reincarnated? what about murderers and such? do people always come back as people or can we be reincarnated as say...a tree or a bird or whatever? do we get to "pick" what we come back as?
No, I hold the belief that we are trying to reach / be something higher. By higher I don't mean the literal term, but something better, more advanced (spiritually) than we are now. I do belive everyone is reincarated, until a certain time, when they have learned all their "lessons", and experieced every kind of experience. Murders and such can be reincarated, as they too must learn, unless that was their last lesson. I'm not sure about choosing what you wish to be. I believe our souls/spirits remain as they "are". So no matter who, where, or what you end up, your soul remains the same. I also believe souls to be a form of energy, not like lightning per say, but an energy(-like), uh thing. Since the planet (solar system, what have you) is constantly moving, circular and up (it's been proven, the ss/galaxy is moving up, literally), that the world's (energy) patterns are constantly shifting and changing, and so, when we go back, we "fit the form" of what will "hold us best". Be it another human, cat, fish, or even tree.
2. do we come back in "certain groups"?...basically same family and friends?
Yes and no. I believe that someone who was your best friend in one life, could be your mother in the next. I don't believe that we keep the same "groups" throughout all our reincarnations. I do believe in soul mates, but not in the typical "perfect person to marry" sense. A soul mate can be that, or you very best friend, or a parent.
3. (please do not mis-interperate (sp?) this next question) what about suicide?...what if you just want to start over ?...again, i STRESS this is just a question...
Even those who commit suicide get reincarnated. I don't think they get reincarnated as a chance to "start over", obviously they're not going to be who they once were, and who knows if their physical form in the next life will even remember their previous act. I seriously don't condone it, help is always available in the life you're in now, sometimes you just have to look for it.
4. does karma from a previous life impact reincarnation?...(assuming you believe in karma...i'm not sure there)
I believe it has a minor impact at the beginning of our lives. I believe it gives us a slight "view" on things when we are very young, before we've had a great deal of exposure to the outside world. Also, if karma did have a serious impact on everyone, wouldn't it affect the parents of the child as well, thus influencing the child to their combined karma?
any and all opinions will be met with an open minded person trying to learn.

My thoughts on reincarnation are this..
We are reincarnated, I believe, yes. :) When our bodies die, we go to the Summerland to choose what lessons we wish to learn in the next life. We then choose what body to have based on how easy or difficult those lessons would be to learn via that body. We can choose the easy way or the hard way.
Suicide might mean 1 of 2 things (aside from the aforementioned):
1) The lessons were too hard for that body to handle
2) The lessons were already learned, so that life was no longer needed.. though just death woulda handled that and not suicide. ;)
So those are my thoughts. I believe we are all reincarnated until all the lessons are learned.. then we have the choice on whether to be reincarnated or not.. or we can stay in the Summerland for eternity. I think reincarnation would be more fun. ;)
I also believe that our first life determines what our Soul is. My first life was a Faery.. so I believe my Soul is still that Faery though my body changes.

My thought in a nut shell......with word pictures
I believe we come from the one source of energy....we want to learn a lesson....we pick the parents best for that lesson..then return to the one energy source.....
Think of an ocean.......a stream.......a puddle
you are the puddle.....the stream are your guides....the ocean is the source.....
We are trying always to make it back to the ocean....we choose what lesson we want..... are given a body...the body nevr recarnates just the soul/energy

What about people who are adopted or are raised by one parent, or a relative? How would that apply?

my thoughts on suicide...
...perhaps a soul is ment to learn about suicide, and with everything that it entails...depression, etc.

The spirit picked the birth Mother and Father....just because it was adopted means nothing BUT......it was the lesson of maybe feeling unwanted.....or given away...or loved by other parents that chose them....many lessons could be learned by being adopted....the soul chose that lesson......
same with stillborn children...maybe that soul only needed to learn a short lesson on being an inborn child.......

So true!!!! and this idea it is SHAMEFUL is so over blown...it takes guts to kill yourself!
But then if you bring Karma into it.....will there is even more work that you would have to do the next time around.....so who wants more work!!!
But another thought.......the soul never overrides the personilty/ego.......and there we get into more lessons....and more crazy stuff.......if the EGO is too large and self absorbed in it's self...soul/spirit will not over ride it......the EGO is what dies.... maybe in suicide that is what happens...EGO kills itself...

I've always found reincarnation interesting and been intrigued by the concept of exploring my past lives. I wonder what I would have been... ;) *prays he wasn't some serial killer or earthworm*
I seriously do believe that each soul has a mission and people are often sent back multiple times to accomplish that mission, then once they have, they arrive at a final resting place where they have the option of another reincarnation as the person/item of their choice. :)

I've never read anything about Reincarnation before and I'm just overwhelmed by your comments. I've never thought about life like that before. I think I'm going to read more about Reincarnation!! :)
