LEADER - SPIRITUAL - VIOLENT - EDUCATED Judge, jury and executioner; you are the lawspeaker. You know the ancient lore of your people back and forward, and you can remember every charted detail of your peoples' history back to the days when Odin created your world from the dead body of a giant. You preside over the Althing, which is the meeting of tribes and kings, and make sure nobody gets out of line. You are merely a freeman outside the Althing, but within the sacred boundaries of the frithgard, you are higher than the mightiest king of the north. And if anybody messes with you, you've got the gods themselves on your side. Wisest of the wise, you are untouchable.

FOLLOWER - SPIRITUAL - PEACEFUL - EDUCATED Skalds are the Norse equivalent to bards, or possibly minstrels. They are the ones responsible for over half of what we now know about Scandinavian culture, royalty and mythology today, for they passed down their lore by word of mouth and song from generation to generation until Snorri Sturlusson of Iceland wrote down the Eddas in the 13th century. Gee, I don't know about this
Berserker
You scored 18% leadership, 21% spirituality, 42% violence and 9% intelligence!
FOLLOWER - SPIRITUAL - VIOLENT - UNEDUCATED Berserkers (or Berserks) were Norse warriors who wore coats of wolf or bear skin and who were commonly understood to have fought in an uncontrollable rage or trance of fury; the berserkergang, hence the modern word berserk. They were said to be completely devoted to the god Odin, and were exceedingly violent and superstitious. Some legends speak of them being unable to control their rage and thus gnawing on their shields before battle. In England during the Battle of Stanford Bridge in 1066 between Saxons and Norwegians, a lone Norwegian berserker held the bridge completely by himself for ten minutes against the advancing Saxon army before finally being taken down by an arrow.

LEADER - IMPIOUS - VIOLENT - UNEDUCATED Kingship was a fluctuating thing in Scandinavia, especially when the old king died and left behind several teenaged sons. The eldest son would usually take the throne, and his brothers would almost invariably go off and raise a war band or army to take the throne from him. That, or go to Europe and raid for awhile to build up their reputations as a great leader and fighter and come back to win the respect of his people. In the harsh northlands, a strong arm was the first choice to lead.

11/100 You scored 15% on spirituality, higher than 11% of your peers.

LEADER - IMPIOUS - PEACEFUL - EDUCATED Besides fighters and explorers, the Norse were also very famous for being shrewd merchants. While no official curreny dominated trade in Northern Europe, trading in goods was something that Norse merchants excelled at, their trade routes reaching from Greenland in the west to Russia in the east, and everything from the Mediterranean up in between. They were savvy, capitalistic and respected, and generally had very good lives because of it.

LEADER - SPIRITUAL - PEACEFUL - UNEDUCATED You are a navigator. It seems perhaps like a rather random profession out of many from the Viking Age to be a choice here, but navigators on longboats were one of the most highly valued men on board. Kings, lords, vikings, chieftains, wizards and priests trusted in these men, who knew just from looking up at the sky no matter the weather which way France was. Without the calm-headedness of the self-assured navigator, the Norse could never have discovered Iceland, Greenland and North America, and all history would have remembered them as would be the pillagers of pop culture. You will not be mentioned in the sagas, but rest assured, without you, there would BE no sagas.

FOLLOWER - SPIRITUAL - VIOLENT - EDUCATED You're a freeman: the average joe of Scandinavia. Most people nowadays in the West are a variant of freemen. Freemen were allowed to vote, to carry weapons, to fight in armies, to take up a trade and to rise in station if they distinguished themselves somehow. They were educated with at least basic skills regarding trades, fighting and religion. Being a freeman was a good life.

Skalds were gifted poets with quick tongues who flattered kings with their art, and occasionally the kings themselves would be known as skalds (or else!). This test is really a trick into getting people to join OK Cupid. I don't wish to do that even though I was eager to find out what my test results would've been. I rejected filling in the sign-up questions at the last page, because I'm not single and not interested in giving my info to a dating company. What a complete con.

Skalds are the Norse equivalent to bards, or possibly minstrels. They are the ones responsible for over half of what we now know about Scandinavian culture, royalty and mythology today, for they passed down their lore by word of mouth and song from generation to generation until Snorri Sturlusson of Iceland wrote down the Eddas in the 13th century. Skalds were gifted poets with quick tongues who flattered kings with their art, and occasionally the kings themselves would be known as skalds (or else!). Skalds were highly respected for their wit and intelligence, and in some folklore, they were said to know of events happening in far off lands as they were happening.

LEADER - SPIRITUAL - VIOLENT - UNEDUCATED Possibly the most famous Norseman of all is Eirik the Red,
who discovered Greenland. He was exiled from Norway for killing a man, so he decided to sail west until he found
something, which just so happened to be Greenland. Trusting in the gods to keep you safe with your sword by
your side to ward off any troublesome trolls and skraelings in new lands you discover, you are the glamourous v
iking explorer. Your name will be remembered forever and the skalds will sing for centuries of your daring exploits
in uncharted lands.

Please don't kill me.
I'm actually a very peaceable sort, or so I would like to believe. :hahugh:
I've been learning to control my anger lately, though. :hyper:

FOLLOWER - SPIRITUAL - VIOLENT - EDUCATED You're a freeman: the average joe of Scandinavia. Most people nowadays in the West are a variant of freemen. Freemen were allowed to vote, to carry weapons, to fight in armies, to take up a trade and to rise in station if they distinguished themselves somehow. They were educated with at least basic skills regarding trades, fighting and religion. Being a freeman was a good life.

LEADER - IMPIOUS - VIOLENT - EDUCATED Hail to the king (or queen, I suppose)! You rule in splendour over whatever country you're from, and have hordes of ferocious viking warriors to command, skalds lining up to sing your praises, and countless slaves to do your dirty work. You're living the good life, when you're not working tirelessly to defend your borders from your brothers who feel like dear old dad should have left THEM the throne instead of YOU. And then there are those damn missionaries who keep telling you that Odin and Thor are just Satan in disguise. No matter how convincing they may be, your people will turn on you if you become Christian. It is not advisable, politically.
