I am leading the summer solstice ritual this year... we scheduled it for next weekend because of some other conflicting things..

anyway, I am looking for some music to dance to in the circle. Something with an upbeat but airy or whimsical feel to it.

I have a few different ideas on what I want to do if I can find some good music. Thinking about making floral headwreaths and branches with ribbons tied to the ends of them and then dancing around the circle...

Then maybe have a picnic in the circle with foods of the season, berries warmed by the sun etc.

We have always done the oak king/holly king thing in the past and I think doing something different would be fun.

Anyone have any music recommendations?

There is a band of minstrels called Blackmores Night. They have really fun gypsy like music. It is perfect for a midsummers celebration. Or you could always try gathering some penny flutes, guitars if you or your friends have one, or bells, rattles(easy to make), drums, tambourines etc and create your own music.
hope this helped :toofless:
