What can you recommend?

(I find some crystals will actually make you more nauseous and more likely to puke. No doubt this is for some good reason. But not always the best option)

I seem to have some success with Amazonite. Green Aventurine is the only stone mentioned in the Crystal Bible (apart from Dioptase - expensive) but I don't have any. What else would help?

I find granite and marble great for this... as well as diamonds

really? thats intriguing. i didnt know 'normal rock' could have metaphysical/healing properties too. for that matter i don't know much about 'rocks' vs crystals. is it just the atomic formation? what is obsidian classed as?

thanks btw

ALL rocks have some sort of healing properties.

obsidians are volcanic glass that is also an igneous rock. more info look them up in the data base

cool

what about clay and other stuff? apart from being good to eat. more to the point, when is a rock a rock and when is it not? where do the metaphysical properties come from? i thought they were a result of the same energy signature (the crystal's atom) repeated many times. is that basically true? does 'rock' tend to be more of a composition of stuff, rather than pure repeating substance (like a piece of quartz)?

hope im not being annoying!

certain types of clay having healing properties. i'll make a another post of it either today or tomorrow. But bentonite clay is to an extent healthy to eat. but i would recommend to use store bought stuff. BTW i never ate clay, play-doh yes.

Scientifically a rock is an object which contains more than one mineral in a solid mass whereas a mineral is one specific formation. So marble is defined as a metamorphic rock formed by alteration of limestone or dolomite, often irregularly colored by impurities. It results from the metamorphism of limestone, composed mostly of calcite.

i see, thanks for that

do you know of any websites where i could learn about this kinda stuff in a bit more detail?

I'm more of a book person than a website person so in regards to books anything on geology and rock/mineral formation through the earth's history is a good start... you will find that as you learn more about the scientific aspects it will help ground your metaphysical beliefs as well as help your understanding of the energies of rocks/minerals. Yes.. when it comes to minerals and rocks the two areas of study do compliment each other if you remain open-minded... scientific and metaphysical that is.

do you know of any books like that at a fairly basic level which ties the geology in with the metaphysics? or would i need two separate books? might have a poke around the web sometime tbh

Hmm.. for heartburn I use peridot & hematite. That might work for nausea also.
