View Full Version : What are your thoughts...?

Literally, for as long as I can remember, I have seen things, heard things, smelled them... and when I point the out... no one else has noticed them.
I catch glimpses from the corners of my eyes but often get a good look when I turn my head. I see symbols floating in the air...
I've seen what looked like a cross between a Monkey and a person, about 4 feet tall, all black and furry wearing a black vest embroidered in black and a little cap... waggling it's finger at me and shaking it's head... grinning... before scuttling around a corner and vanishing.
I've seen parts of people pass thorugh my house...arms... a single foot... an ear once...
Talking. Music! all the music!! it's like listening to an old old radio that only gets shows from before 1945. news shows... I usually can't make out what's actually being said.
Big Band music... classical... and music ... what my grampa called Fairie Music, I think. It sounds like pipes and strings and liquid light being played.
I've looked into a room in an old Hotel and seen it shift from one eara to the present again in a moment.
I'd like to be able to hone this... learn to focus it... but I'm not sure how to go about it.
I see flashes of light, bright... blinding... some times the flashes are round and edged in pink, orange, or blue. Sometimes they're followed by booms so loud I jump... and my husband never sees or hears a thing though he's sitting right next to me.
I'm looking for any thoughts on the subject anyone can give me.
Just incase you're wondering: I have had MRIs and Catscans among others and all come back perfectly normal...

I am not sure what it is that U want...it sounds to me that this is all happening and U have no control over it....
I would learn how to ground myself.....for clarity....do U want to get rid of it?....or learn more from it?
control it a bit?

I agree that learning to ground yourself if you don't already do that is a good place to start. Doing meditation would also be helpful. And beyond those I'd definately suggest learning to work with energy so you can recognize it - starting with being aware of your own energy so there isn't any confusion.
I'm sure like anything else, what works may vary between different people. What worked for me to improve my ability to see and sense and have some control over what I'm picking up was to do all those things that I've already suggested, and doing tarot and rune readings really helped me to learn to open my third eye awareness.
In fact, after doing readings all day at a psychic faire I forgot to close my third eye, and as I was getting ready for bed I turned off the light and then saw/sensed a presence beside my bed. Being tired and cranky I told it to go away so I could go to sleep, and then found myself being very curious about who it was and what he had wanted to tell me, but unfortunately I had told him to leave and he had. :weirdsmil

No, I don't want it to go away! I want to learn from it. I'd love to know what the heck it is, but I know it's here for a reason. you know?
I'd love to know what the symbols mean... I'd post them but I dont' have a way to get them on the web.
I'd like to be able to hone this... learn to focus it... but I'm not sure how to go about it.
It's not really disrupting to my life, just a little baffling. Are those people trying to talk to me and I'm just not in tune enough to hear them properly?
I know that the couple who listen to the music and talk at night will be quieter if I just ask.
Sometimes, I even like the music!
and the flashes of Light. What is it? What's it for? I'd totally forgotten to add in the original post that once, wile watching TV, I saw a white flash and heard the boom then opened my eyes just intime to see a man on a horse nearly run me over, but the horse reared up and I fell back onto my couch. Mind you ... my actual eyes were never shut, according to my husband.
Luckily... these don't happen when I'm driving or something that takes a lot of focus.
Well... that's about it, I guess.
any questions? clarifications you need, let me know!
Thank you all so much for the help!!

do you live in an older house? it could be that your catching glimpses to the past and that you are sensitive to the vibrations of the people who lived there a long time ago. not in a ghosts type way, but more of a residual haunting, which is kinda like a place's personal video tape of events that just keeps on playing over and over again. I can't remember what this particular ability is called for the life of me. but a person can say pick up a wedding ring and be able to catch glimpses of a wedding day or a fight that preceded a divorce just for example. it could also just be a residual haunting that your more attuned too, or it could be ghosts.

Psychometry is reading energies from an object. Never thought about a house being the object that is emitting those energies but I guess it's possible. Seems more likely to be a residual haunting or something along those lines. Sometimes a haunting (residual or active) is tied to or associated with a particular object... such as a favorite rocking chair.
I grew up in a house with a residual haunting. My dad build the original house when I was a year old, but as more children came along he added onto the house. He used some lumber salvaged from the farmhouse he had grown up in, that was damaged by fire while sitting vacant after Grammy moved to town. The rumor was that a hobo had taken shelter in the old farmhouse and somehow set it on fire, and unfortunately died in the fire. I was guessing that it was the hobo's ghost that was attached to the old house and the lumber from it.
We would hear footsteps go up the stairs and walk across the floor of the room we used for a playroom and rattle the door to one of the bedrooms. The first time I heard it I was home alone. My mother said it was the house settling, a common explanation for residual haunts.
But after getting married and moving to an old house with my hubby and our daughter, I began noticing other strange things. Never heard any footsteps, but I would see shadows and the movement of what looked like dust motes - but in a place where the light was not reflecting off anything. The kitchen sink faced a wall instead of a window so I placed a mirror above the sink. As I would be washing dishes I often saw something small and shadowy move across the room behind me, but if I turned around there was never anything there. The dog would be asleep and suddenly sit up and stare intently as something that we couldn't see. I never felt alone in that house.

What you are describing is similar to ghost sightings except that you seem to react to trace energies that are too minute for others around you to pick up on.
Pay more attention to what triggers your perception of these energies and practice triggering more of them.
Through exploration of this talent you may be able to discern if you are catching various events that happened there, or if they are all connected.
Also do research into the history of where this is occuring for more clues.

My house is actually pretty young AND it's the first house ever on the land. (or at least within the last 500 years.)
It was a lake up until about 350-400 years ago, about 150 years ago it was bought and farmed.
16 years ago this 4 acre parcel was sold and this house put on it (it's a fabricated) 9 years ago my husband and I bought it.
The thing is, all this has happened to me as long as i can remember regardless of wehre I live, whose house i'm in... I might even be camping or walking down the street.... in the mall.... anywhere.

Welcome to the sometimes wacky world of the psychically sensitive.

Update:
I plan to make an amateur archeological dig around the property where I find cold and (get this) hot spots and especially where I keep seeing a man standing near our woods' edge. who knows... maybe I'll find... him.
The newest thing to begin is that my cieling fan gets shut off. I can turn it on, turn, and look up: it's not spinning. I turn and look at the switch: it's off. I guess they got tired of turning the TV on and off.
Well... i'm off...
