Now this stuff sounds pretty cool.. I first found out about this stuff a few years ago but didnt here anything about it again until today when I noticed a piece for sale from a dealer I buy quite a bit from so I am going to bid on it to see if I can win it.. unfortunately it is a tumbled and polished specimen.. hopefully some day I can find a nice rough piece :)
Anyways.. just a quick search has shown that the limited info tends to group this material with Jadite seeing it is found in association with the imperial jade found in Burma (yes.. I know the country goes by another name these days but I refuse to use that name) and it is comprised mostly of this Jade but it also contains several other minerals and the process by which it is formed also takes into account activities which took place after the initial Jadite was formed.
Again... after a really quick search it seems that metaphysically it is grouped with Jade as well... never having touched a piece of this these associations may well hold true but it's my personal feeling there is much more to this material... when I get a piece I will spend some time with it and hopefully post more on its properties.. in the mean time any more info would be really welcome :)
And Czech.. I cant say for sure yet but I "think" this may be my choice for stone of the year.. something inside me says it is a very special material... Something else also tells me that is might be a material close to but still very different to Serpentine & Stichtite (Atlantisite ... I really dont care for this name) even though the composition is completely different.
