in the spirit of Puma Hime...

what is your favorite texture?

i know this is weird but...the feel of freshly shaved legs on crisp clean bed sheets...or on soft soft old faded jeans...

okay, one not so weird...

rubbing my face on the belly of my dog...(well, maybe that IS weird)

the feel of my hubbys back, way down low in the small of it...soft and curved...

Hmmmmmm...silk, velvet, DEFINITELY the clean shaven legs on crisp linen sheets, the softness of an "inner arm" (the inside of the elbow, and down toward the wrist. That is so soft) Freshly washed, and dried hair, like silk traveling through your finger tips. SOFT suede. Green Grass under your feet. Rose Petals, flower petals, a new born baby's chubby cheeks. A horses coat. Angora Rabbits Fur. Smooth Chocolate. And..of course, my kitties fur :)

Silk.
The inside of my fleecy jacket.
Crisp linen sheets.
Soft leather.
The soft skin on the nape of my beloved's neck (Oh, I miss him, still, only 25 days and three hours until he's back in the country - and my arms - again!)
The piece of rose quartz I carry with me at all times.
Warm sand.

Nina you are so right about that one - I love running my fingers across my boyfriend's neck and jawline. . .

Okay, pretty much any part of him *blushes slightly*

Other things - I like fabrics, rough silks, velveteen, fine wool, polished cotton, really soft polar fleece. Antique wood with old finish, especially that's been used and handled a lot. Old patina'd silver. The feathering on my puppy's coat, which is just starting to grow out (he's a setter). Quilts. Supple leather, like a well worn in jacket. Flower petals, new grass, running river water or ocean water when it's perfectly temperate and running over you. Ocean sand between my toes. Soft snow in my hair.

*Grins at Azure*

The feel of Phoenix's hair after he's just had it cut....*scruba scruba scruba*

My cat Murron's soft fur, and the little soft spots just behind Fia's ears. Under their chins too.

The heavy weight of an old quilt.

A large tub of tumbled stones...when you run your hands through it.

The feeling of my hair right after it's dry.

Satin sheets.

Bare feet on hardwood floors.

Oh! and....

Water.

The weight of hematite.

*purrs* Mmmm....all of the above! With emphasis on: a lover's body, silk, shaved legs (on anything!), someone's body (soft, of course), cats, a warm fuzzy blanket when you're cold, water (not too warm, not too cold...), water (anytime!!), a hot bath, wet hair covered in conditioner, freshly dried hair, bare feet on hardwood floors, the warmth of a fire, wind, earth, dirt, sand between your toes, flower petals, grass between the toes, satin, snow, bubbles, and soooo much more.

oooh. . . . waves at the beach (and screaming, running in terror from the kelp deciding to tangle in your legs! hehe), the way a stoneface feels when your climbing it (mm big giant rocks), . . . :) my lovers' hair when I run my fingers through it. . . YES! W00T clean shaven legs on nice clean sheets!! (or against your so's legs :D *giggles*) hmm. . . brushing my hair. . . hair is nice. So is fur. mmmm. . .

the way my teddy feels squished against my face when I'm crying. It's very comforting.

The way that crinkoly netting stuff they put in little girl's dresses to make them poof up, feels.

A heavy cloak on a cold day :) the way your dear friends' feel when they're smiling and you hug them.

that soft, warm, squiggly feeling that's a happy baby when you're holding them. :)

bubble wrap(ya know, the stuff you pop)
beach sand on feet.
water on skin(moving)
cat kneeding its claws on your back.....
a pet laying against you....

Really ratty old tshirts, the ones that feel mere washes away from disintegrating. And rose petals. They make me wish I was an inch tall so I could sleep under one. Kitty tongues are kinda neat too. My cat likes to groom my arm when I hold him. Feathers too, on a bird. I got to pet the parrots I used to work with at a pet store and the layers feel neat.

Cool Crisp Sheets because they've been in the airconditioned room. When you Slip into them, after a REALLY hot day...and a nice cool bath...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh :)

I also love the smoothe, heaviness of a Hematite stone.

A smoothe, green Oak tree leaf,

The inside of just about any nut, cracked, and peeled (hazlenuts, and acorns are SO soft)

Belly's...the skin on anyones belly is just sooooo soft :)

Scars. I know it's odd, but the contrast between smoothe skin, and the skin where a scar is, just feels so strange, and cool. Even my tattoo. For some reason, the edges around it raise up whenever I get a fever, or get really hot, or anything. And at those times, running my fingers across my tatoo, feels so neat.

Earlobes. Is there any softer part of the body? Almost feels like the velvet of a rabbits ears.

Pewter. Don't know why. Always just loved the texture of it :)

Sand..but not on the beach, as much as the sand in the ocean, lake, or river floor. When you wade into the water, and feel the sand all soft, silky, and smoothe squishing between your toes. That's one of the coolest feelings.

Paint dripping on skin. I took a photo shoot a while back, where my husband covered my foot in latex paint. As he "painted" my foot, and long before it dried, it just felt so cool. I think wet paint is a great texture, anyway:)

Cotton balls.

Hard Boiled Eggs, Peeled.

And last but not least....PUMPKIN GUTS!!!!!!!!! When you carve a pumpkin, at Samhain, when you have to rip out all the pulp, and separate the seeds (at least, I do, to roast them), the pumpkin guts just smells, and feels SO COOL.

Oh..I lied, TWO more. The inside of a sea shell, and Flannell ANYTHING. Especially when the flannel is old and worn.

I love the feel of my horses.
I love combing out their tails.
The feel of saddle blankets and saddles.
Soft puppies,
Strong callosed hands (Hubby)
The feel of hugs from my kids.
The texture of weathered barn wood. Hubby built our bed of cedar post and old barn wood.
The snuggly warmth of Hubby on a cold night.
Also the feel of beadwork.
Denim and old sweatshirts.

A weird one - water with baking soda dissolved in it - it's really soft. . .

I like the texture of corduroy. I have this obsession. Anytime anyone around me is wearing corduroy, I have to rub my hand across it really fast, even if I don't know them. I've been told that it's violating to strangers to have someone rub their hand across your knee really fast and then giggle maniacly... but I can't help it.

I also really like velvet. And silk. And I love love love flannel.
