I've always been attracted to Aphrodite, even when I was very young. I've been getting darker and feeling the call of the Goddess of Death. Perspherone is the greek, but what of other pantheons? Do you mix them?

Perhaps you are feeling the pull of Hecate? Not 'Death', but definitely 'Change' - which is a kind of 'death'???

I don't mix pantheons, but many people do. There is nothing wrong at all.

A while back, there was a discussion in this forum on the goddesses of love. Of course, Aprhodite was discussed. MW member Eulena mentioned that Aphrodite was associated with death. The Greeks called Aphrodite "Melanis" which means "Black One, " "Androphonos" which means "Man slayer," and "Epitymbria" which means "Of the tombs." You can read more about her and her dark names at this site.

Maybe Aphrodite already has what you are looking, and you don't have to look for another goddess.

Wow, I did not know that about Aphrodite and I have always felt affinity for her but I thought she was just sex and love and I thought it was my vanity..in all honesty I am very vane but my humility made me feel it was not a right pull but this darker aspect fits me well as well. I am a little buzzed right now, If I sound stupid thats why. I don't know if I am saying what I want at all. I am vane but I keep it to my self, I have humility. I have been pulled to her and I have a very dark side and felt that she didn't fit. Okay I am babling. I am sorry. I should stay off the computer in this state. Which I only do once a month IF at all.

Storm, I was really surprised to learn that about Aphrodite as well. If you think hard, it makes some sense. The deities have so much power. Sometimes the gods and goddesses take on a darker aspect when using this power. Aphrodite is no different.
